The multiplayer games are being designed to feel like single-player campaign missions but with tons of people. So instead of the game just starting and giving you a countdown, you're getting flown or dropped in with specific objectives. Or rather, at least in the type of game mode that has been shown so far.

So like is the idea that "single player" story missions are in fact multi player matches? Does that mean the story splits with each defeat? That sounds pretty cool?

If only when I played multiplayer shooters it went anything like that well.

This is some next level TRAILER gameplay ffs. Stop looking at footage like this and thinking That's The Game. Have you ever played Call of Duty? Or any multiplayer shooter?

I think this looks legit awesome, though. PC version should be good.

Well It's probably not going to be "tons of people", most of the enemies are AI guys. They haven't confirmed the player count thought so you never know. I'd expect something like 8 vs 8 or something like that with a lot of fodder to go around.

I'm not really sure what people say looks so incredible about this. We've had Mech/infantry hybrid FPSes on PC for over a decade on PC, and I'd say most of them does the sense of scale much better. F.E.A.R. 2, Battlefield 2142, even SHOGO, Battlezone and Heavy Gear, as well as more recent Mech-only games like Hawken and MechWarrior Online.

The look when they jump into the Titan's and switch to a first person view with the gun on the right hand that looks identical to when you're running around as ground infantry is really anticlimactic.

wow, I just realized that Titanfall is like Attack on Titan but in the future.....

This looks so dope! And fast.

@fisk0: People are hyping the fast and fluid movement and speed, more than the fact that it's a mech game. That's where the focus is, I think.

I guess the jumping through second floor windows and stuff looked pretty neat, but I'll get that in Mirror's Edge 2.

I think it looks incredibly meh.

Gameplay looks super fun, but the game doesn't look next gen in any visual way. Parts of it even look bad compared to stuff we get today.

I really like how the mechs PUT YOU INSIDE OF THEM.

@mrsmiley: Not really, the game itself is multiplayer embedded in the campaign so you are essentially playing missions that are populated with other people and AI/bots.

That last bit wherein even if you fail the mission you'd still need to have to get extracted is in itself pretty dynamic in a objective based MP game.

Its also coming to PC, dont worry.

It just occurred to me... no fall damage. Haha I feel like the movement opens up a lot of possibilities for exploitation, like dolphin diving in BF2 or something. But I'm excited for this now that I think about how it's pushing the boundaries for FPS games.
