Cannot wait for thIs. Hotline Miami was such a unique and somewhat challenging game.

I just recently got into Hotline Miami thanks to the last Humble Bundle. Cool to see that it's getting a sequel.

This is now the only game I'm looking forward to, but I'm happy for them to take as long as they like to make it, as long as the music in this one is just as good at the first.

Hotline Miami was alright. I hate to say it, but after I got caught the tenth time on that moronic hospital level, I don't think I despised a single game more last year than I despised that game in that moment. It went from awesome to loathsome. Such a poor decision to put that and the SWAT sequences in there. The entire rest of the game (boring boss fights aside) was pretty fucking great.

I wonder if the soundtrack can match the quality of the first game.

Hotline Miami is pretty great, minus a few technical hiccups. I am pumped beyond reason for more chicken masks and 50 Blessings flyers.

I suck at playing Miami Hotline, though I have gotten good enough to get 2/3's through. But that's okay...I gots the soundtrack. My Radio Station was doing a special on video game music and I called them up over this. The real oddity is if they knew about it Miami Hotlines' music, they'd play it through...About the game, I would not know to say.

But the music would get a pass. And they'd recognize Miami Hotlines 80's motif without being told, are termed eclectic by I-tunes radio(also a signal station 89.7- Los Altos Hills)

They'd remember the 80's...

Well, that was me that made the comment about YouTube commenters by the way and I admit that using the term "horrible" was probably way too much and it of itself did sound like a YouTube comment after the fact. :)

The other user saying that most indie games in general except for one indie game (Bastion) to be "overrated" does come off as being very dismissive and disrespectful considering that there are people who do like indie games like Hotline Miami a lot. Sure it is his opinion but like when I said that people saying comments like that are "horrible" it does have a tendency to come off as disrespectful and in turn would incite a negative reaction to a comment like that when they tell you that the games you like are "overrated". That's pretty much it.

Just out of curiousity, could you tell me what part of it was disrespectful, and towards whom? Because I really don't see it.

But the opinion was expressed in a respectful manner. The person expressing it didn't belittle anyone, nor did they use any big words incorrectly. Or any big words period.

It just happens to be an opinion that a lot of people will probably disagree with, and gamers are typically incapable of accepting differing opinions.

@gaspower: I havent really noticed an influx of anyone different thn who normally comes around. Video game websites always tend to get all types. Maybe there is seasons for it, I dont know. Haven't noticed.

There are respectful ways to say you don't like something. It's not necessary to belittle them or use big words incorrectly to intend to say that something someone else likes is not actually meaningful because they, themself, don't like it.

Hey, look at that! Now the super fresh and original indies are cranking out sequels! Fez 2! Hotline Miami 2!

Cool, I finished the first one two days ago, it's pretty fucking good, I was pretty skeptical when people said it had the best music, then I played it and realized it was right, but I feel like the music is better while playing the game than listening to it outside the game.

I liked to play a level a couple of times and then doing it more and more efficiently like a speed run but I felt some of the later levels are impossible to do like a speed run because they have a random factor.

I'm pretty excited about this next one.

Hotline Miami was the most stylish and unique games I've ever played and I loved every brutal second of it. I'm excited to see what they do with the second one.

Also I don't think you can say that Bastion or Hotline Miami were over-hyped since the overall consensus of critics and players was that they were both very well liked and they were vocal about it.

Its totally valid not liking them due to personal taste, but I don't think they were over-hyped.

Beat the first in one sitting. It was a great sitting!

I'm sure the game will be great, but they better really go for it on the soundtrack choices.
