For what it's worth, Visceral's cg stuff has been pretty great. As dull as Dante's Inferno was as a game, some of the cg was amazing

I actually think this cover better fits the future/space aesthetic of the game rather than the original. Plus, Mr. Collins is probably pretty protective about licensing his music for use in video games and it's trailers. Plus, it'd be exponentially more expensive than the version used here.

A bad trailer will not repel me from playing this game. I'm still excited. By the way, was there actual gameplay footage in there?

Fits the current direction of the game better than the original, and I love the original.

All that fur should keep Isaac's metal suit from getting cold.

I don't really care that much about the Dead Space universe, but the first game really felt like it understood itself. Though I didn't find it particularly scary, it definitely felt like survival horror. There was a vulnerability to Isaac. Now he's--what? Another armor clad space badass? Yawn.

I hope that this is just poor marketing.

If you want Phil Collins, get Phil Collins. Dude likes money, and seems to be game for anything. He had a recurring supporting role in Vice City Stories, trading lines with a transsexual director and everything. I bet most people didn't make it this far, but his "quest line" culminated in this awesomely stilted machinima peformance of "In the Air":

Wow, everybody just loves to regurgitate the video captions... Can't find your own opinion so your just going to adopt Alex's? So far, this is the only trailer from Dead Space 3 I have liked. The Phil Collins cover does suck... But thankful it's a video game and not an album! What about the cool cardboard coffins? How awesome Isaac's face looks? The graphics look great!

I now mute the sound, and find my inner Phil Collins, on all future EA video game trailers....

To be honest I liked the bit of cover I heard, and I have to say I burned out on that song and Phil Collins long ago. As for direction, I think this is going to be a revenge story. still with horror/survival with weapons plus. It might not suit everyone...looks like someone finds what they were looking for.

I suspect this might be a trilogy..I don't know.

Maaaaaan...That was pretty meh. I never really paid attention to Dead Space 3 before viewing this trailer, so it's safe to say that I still don't care about it.

That trailer was awful, and the soundtrack goes a long way to make it so. Not only is the quality of the version they got terrible (sounds like it was recorded live with a cellphone), but it doesn't add anything to the trailer and doesn't match the action in the slightest.

It looks like they went to the Gears of War school of trailers, but slept through most classes.

This was hilarious. I half-expected Isaac to pantomime the drum solo.

The pessimistic cynic is back in town. Alex Navarro is king of "snarky". I pre-ordered the game at Gamestop, I didn't want to but I got suckered in by the employee. I feel lame now.

I got thrown off by the "actual game footage" Are they saying only when that is on the screen that it's game footage? Because that ending looked bad ass, but I'm guessing that's not the game. Why did cg creep back into game trailers and get misleading again? I thought games advertising was past this.

I didn't mind the song. I think the live Phil Collins version with the super long/loud drum solo is the best version though.

I'm still planning to get this. Dead Space 1 & 2 were great games, I played through both recently too, to remind myself of that and get ready for DS3. My expectations are pretty low however, I'm practically hoping this is the worst Dead Space game by a small margin as a best case scenario.

I loathe the prevalent EA hate, but this game seems more and more like a risky buy. Co-op guarantees the game won't be scary, the action focus is pulling it further away from its roots, the crafting system seems time-consuming, needlessly complex and supports micro-transactions, Kinect support has been added, Quick Time events have been added, the PC version is a raw port and the demo didn't impress.

I still haven't given up on it, but I can see this going the way of Mass Effect for me - I ignored the numerous concerns prior to launch, but played the demo and tried playing the game, and hated it. So despite loving the first two games in the series, I have no interest in playing ME3 - maybe in a few years at a low price to finish the story, but not in the capacity a liked AAA franchise deserves.

I bet this game will be pretty good.

I think Dead Space is doing a good job of escalating the story, much like Alien/Aliens both are scary, but they are scary for different reasons.

Dead Space 1 and 2 were among the best games of this generation, I trust Viceral enough that this is a day 1 purchase for me.

This was a really cool trailer. This game wasn't even on my radar before and now I'm excited to see more. I like the use of "In the Air Tonight", although I secretly wished it was Nonpoint's cover.

Quick question, if youre playing single player instead of co-op is you character on screen alone? Or is there an AI dude standing next to you like a yutz defusing all tension from the scene?

I am not totally sure, but I think there is an AI companion. I am pretty sure this is right but the info may be outdated.

I dislike everything about this trailer.

Dead Space ceases to be scary at all super early on when you realize just how capable Isaac is at fighting several xenomorphs at once, even when they get the complete drop on you.

That said, deadspace 3 really feels like a sharp shift in tone from the bits they've presented so far. It looks like a straight up fast paced action game now, when deadspace1/2 had a much more methodical feel to the combat.

I couldn't even make out the words in the song, IT'S SO QUIET.

I don't have the best ears or anything, but was that a cover? Sounded like the man himself. The remix is decent, IMO.

In the first few seconds of pre-rendered footage, the "UI" elements on his back look absolutely ridiculous. In-game, you know what they're for. Out of that context, they're absolutely useless...as pointed out by multiple online comic strips and everyone and their mom, I know, but still. Funny how initially it was a UI revolution - now it's just as hokey as a simple UI overlay would have been. THANKS DINO... AND OBAMA.

If the demo is any indication, Carver will be doing his own thing and only pops up in cut scenes.

So who is singing this version then? I need to know for a erm..... "friend"
