Max Payne
In Max Payne 1 Vinnie served as right hand man to Punchinello Under-boss Jack Lupino. Max Payne pursued Vinnie on his revenge mission over his Wife and child's murder because of the Valkyr drug which led Max to Jack Lupino and in turn Vinnie. Max injured Vinnie and then pursued him along the rooftops and railways of New York. Max ultimately got the information he needed from Vinnie, the location of Jack Lupino and left him bleeding out in an alley.
Max Payne 2
Vinnie returns in Max Payne 2, now an underboss in the Punchinello crime family and leading a gang war with Vladimir Lem's Russian mafia. Max initially suspects Vinnie of being behind the Cleaner murders. Max encounters Vinnie attacking Vodka Vladimir Lem's club and the renovated Ragnarock. Vinnie was attempting to finish off the Russian mob boss Vladimir Lem but Max stopped him. Later after Lem is revealed as the true mastermind behind the Cleaner murders Vinnie is caught in a trap by Lem. He is trapped in a Captain Baseball bat boy costume rigged to explode. Payne tries to save Vinnie but Vladimir ultimately kidnaps both Max and Vinnie and detonates the explosives killing Vinnie.
Max Payne 3
Vinnie was buried at Golgotha cemetery and when Max Payne is caught in a shootout in the cemetery in 2012 with the DeMarco crime family. His grave was marked "His flame burned brightly to the end". Upon examining the grave Max remarks that he didn't think there was enough left of Vinnie to fill a grave and that Vinnie's actions were key in causing the downfall of the Punchinello crime family and the rise of the DeMarcos.
