    so if i buy on GFWL, will it have achievements and will those go towards my account?

    I bought it on steam and it still had games for windows live. Yes it has achievements which work like normal xbox 360 achievements

    @demontium:  If you buy it anywhere you get standard Live achievements.  It's built into the game.  You can even use your live tag for it.
