Well Relic has announced a new hero for DoW2 Retribution's The Last Stand mode. The Tau Commander. Fairly interesting, and makes me wonder if they are going to add the race to the multiplayer....which already has 6 other races to balance. It seems it could be something up for a future expansion or more DLC, but we shall see.

Tau Commander - New Last Stand Hero
FAWK, 9 bucks. I don't know man. He looks pretty bad as but for 9 bucks really? Granted I do want my 100% but I don't think 2 achievements and no new map is worth it.

DLC if anything -- I believe they stated back before Retribution landed that it was going to be the last expansion for DoW2, and that they'd be starting development on DoW3 shortly after its release. I would really like me some Tau for multiplayer, though.
It's out!
Also, more skin packs, too. I like that Relic is kind of adding some weird shit when and as they can. I'm not so impressed with the price points. Still, Retribution is a pretty terrific value as a base game.
Pretty sure DoW III is already under development, so the likelihood of seeing a Tau campaign come out is probably nil. I'm cool with that. I've not spent nearly enough time with the Last Stand.

I love him, great support char so far.
Agreed. Nearly every game I dropped into this weekend has had at least one or two Tau Commanders in it. I daresay Relic is already considering other races to drop in there to goose the revenue a little. Fingers crossed for Necron.
Sorry for necromancing this thread, but I just wanted to say that the Tau Commander is now available for $4.99 thanks to the newest seasonal sale on Steam. Or if you prefer, there's a Complete DLC Pack for all Retribution DLC (skins, wargear and the Tau Commander himself!) for $15.
