The lack of depth is shadowed by the amount of fun you have.

Your Mii is sitting down on the bench of an airplane, awaiting his death defying jump. As you press the A button, your Mii makes a leap out of the plane, thus giving you a birds eye view of the vibrant and wonderful Wuhu Island. You try to link with other Mii's as you fly towards the glassy water surrounding this tropical island. Suddenly all the Mii's pull their parachutes, greatly reducing their speed. After this short introduction, the game selection screen appears and Wii Sports Resort begins!

I usually am not a huge fan when it comes to sports games, but surprisingly, Wii Sports Resort is done right! The stamp concept combined with the lasting multiplayer is the reason this game tops my list of sports video games.

Swordplay-The best sport in the package in my opinion. It takes strategy to win, but power is essential. Hit your foe, but make sure to block his incoming attacks. This 'sport' also is a great example of how well the motion plus works. There is no denying that Swordplay is a great game.

Archery- Classic bow and arrow concept is put forth in this fun, but challenging part of WSR. A still hand and clear mind are key to success. Shoot as close to the middle as possible to win as many points. Archery is another great game on this set.

Cycling- Some don't, but I love this game. The controls are awful, but once you look past that, the game has a great overall idea. Strategically race to the finish line, saving your energy for where its needed. One of the fair games on WSR.

Jet Skiing- This is an atrocious game. It's controls are awful, the gameplay is shallow and it's boring, to an unplayable extent. This is one of the rarities of Wii Sports Resort, a terrible game.

When you look at all these games together you think a giant minigame package, but it's really a lot more than that. You have stamps, champion opponents and a large map to explore at you own will, which brings me to.... Air games:

One of my favorite features of Wii Sports Resort is the Air games. Being able to finally explore Wuhu island is a dream come true. Going in and out the volcano through caves is a blast. A lot of my time is being put into this mode, and rightfully so.

If you haven't already, go out and get this game, it really is fun.

There is a lot of simplicity and some minor flaws, but you will be having too much fun to care.

A Resort Worth Going To... 0

If you ever played a Wii at least once throughout its lifespan so far, chances are you played Wii Sports, which is arguably the perfect pack-in game for a console like Nintendo's Wii. You were likely hanging out with family or friends trying to beat them at bowling, tennis, golf, or baseball. As much of a phenomenon Wii Sports is for the past three years especially among the casual audience, there is more what Nintendo could do to make it a definitive experience for the Wii, which is why the seq...

A fantastic example of how good the Wii and Wii MotionPlus can be 0

When I went out and bought Tiger Woods PGA Tour 10, I was more excited for the Wii MotionPlus inside than I was for the actual game. I knew that golf wasn’t my favorite game genre, but hoped that the great controls, stunning realism and feature set would in the end be worth it. After all, the game’s $40 when you take into account the WM+ being included. When I began to play the game itself, I couldn’t find any real flaws with it, and I still enjoy playing it today, but it isn’t the most fun I’ve...
