Does the Gamepad Rumble

Someone has opened a class action lawsuit against the Wii U...already? Saying that the controller rumbles and vibrates. This court filing says he has returned it three times.

I haven't opened my WiiU yet (waiting to open a big red box under a tree) so is this dude a moron or is this a real issue?

I've played hours of Nintendo Land on that game pad, and don't remember it rumbling. Maybe it does though?

It does rumble, quite fiercely for a device that you can't get as strong of a grip on as the other controllers. Pretty sure you can turn it off at the system level, so yeah, lawsuit is even dumber.

I know it rumbles, but I never noticed that it rumbled in any way stronger than any other controller. As a soon to be lawyer though, I can attest to the notion that people are willing to sue over and get away with suing over just about anything.

This is not about rumble but rather about rattle. The Wii U gamepad seems to have a ratteling sound in it. This is true. My Gamepad rattles BUT I really have to kind of shake it for it to get really appearant. I don't know if this is cause enough to file a complaint of this kind and I have a hard time seeing how this should be that annoying to the gameplay erxperience.

@Dogma:

I haven't notice that with mine. If fact, I remember thinking the sound of the rumble in the Wii U controller was unusually consistent, kind of a single-tone whir instead of the rattle, which I presumed to be normal, I get out of my 360 controllers.

It seems to rumble loudly, rather than strongly.
