    Rumors have it that the Wii U can't properly render games in 1080p when using the gamepad as a second screen. It's a stupid rumor, because obviously it's highly dependent on what game we're talking of, but it certainly would be indicative of Wii U's processing power, respectively the lack thereof.

    I for one demand native 1080p rendering from next generation console hardware as a standard. Since we're likely talking of games being rendered in 720p and upscaled to 1080p internally in the case of the Wii U, that's even more disturbing. Really hope Sony and Microsoft match the power and fidelity of current gen middle of the road gaming PCs at the very least. Anything less would be a major disappointment.

    Much like the PS Vita, I only consider the Wii U for its (confirmed?) backwards compatibility with the previous platform... to play some classics. A shitty reason to be interested in a brand new videogame system.
