Going to GameStop to pre-order the Deluxe version soon.

On whats on the stream right now, I'm never going to use Nintendo TVii unless I can somehow get it to work with Dish Network, which is what my Dad uses.

The Wii launched at $250 without the expensive to produce controller. I really don't see how this news is surprising or a bummer, and it's only a $50 difference from what the extremely optimistic crowd was guessing.

Color me cautiously optimistic.

I wonder if Nintendo has ever seen how comments sections turn out.

I'd probably buy the Deluxe version of the Wii U, i see no value in the basic version.

OH GREAT Monster Hunter HD on Wii U, possibly the tipping point for me. Is there any reason why Sony would not pursue Capcom to make MH games for the PS4?

But that last montage of launch window games reminded me that there's really not much I want early on for the console, so I won't be getting it on day 1.

I think Nintendo can avoid this situation if they keep focus on getting their own titles out in reasonable time. If they can keep a Zelda/Metroid/Mario/Pikmin always on the horizon they will probably be ok. They just can't dick around with their releases like they have in the past. I would also be interested in seeing how the Japanese adopt this console, if it becomes the biggest system in Japan then I could see a lot more Japanese third party support coming.

It won't hurt whatever the next Microsoft or Sony console is in the US due to North American players really staying focused on Western games. I could see it being the Japanese industry console of choice though.
