The Nintendo Wii is a home video game console released on November 19, 2006. The Wii's main selling point was the innovative use of motion controls that its signature Wii Remote and Nunchuk controllers allowed for. It became the best selling home console of its respective generation of hardware.
There's not much to see just yet. It's not visually impressive but everything looks pretty solid with some cool and imaginative locations displayed, plus an overworld map section.
This one's meant to have a unique battle system that has your whole party relying on a shared pool of action points, so that you can use all of them with one character if you're so inclined, except it also has an emphasis on combination attacks, or something along those lines. Still, the Wii is lacking in any sort of RPG so hopefully this one's going to be great too, even if it doesn't use any of the wiimote's extra functions.
It certainly looks higher quality than Opoona, the only example of a Wii JRPG aside from Fire Emblem, which is a Strategy RPG anyway. It probably has a decent budget investment too considering the quality of the few FMV scenes seen so far.
Kizuna doesn't look more unique to me, though perhaps more exciting since it's an action RPG, but I do doubt just how much of an RPG it is, considering the amount of emphasis on action, and how it stacks up against the likes of Zelda.
Of course, I can't wait to see Kizuna in motion just to see how that pencil sketch filter looks. But I should stop, this thread isn't about Kizuna :P
Some more images. I like what I see but I wish they showed more off combat images since the few areas seen so far are imaginative and beautiful, even the overworld map looks pretty and relatively detailed with things like trees and such visible.
