Are Nunchucks supposed to be this cheaply made?

My sister bought a Wii for my nephews last month, and so far they have had to change a Nunchuck two times, the first time the cable on it was kinda damaged so it wasn't recognized sometimes by the Wii, and now the analog stick on it gave out after half a month of use. So has anyone else had a bad experience like this one with the Wii controllers?

Never had a problem with Wii controllers or nunchucks. Sounds like the nephews are destructive...

I've had my Wii and its remotes/chucks/etc since release.

Sounds like kids being kids, or maybe someone needs to just tell them to ease up on how rough they play with the Nunchuck's.

Yeah it's probably just kids being kids... But on a side note I got myself a copy of Shatered Memories and the Nuchucks just feel feeble compared to the DualShock 3 and the 360 controllers which feel really robust...
