The CV of an ex-Eurocom animator has outed a possible N64 remake for Wii, "GoldenEye 2010"


The CV, which belongs to one Craig Peck, says the ex-Eurocom man worked as an animator "on Activision's James Bond series for the Nintendo Wii", before joining L.A. Noire developer Team Bondi.


Peck's job on the mysterious GoldenEye game apparently involved "key frame animation, the preparation and clean-up of motion capture data, prop animation, in-game cut-scene animation, scene layout, and camera animation."


It should be noted that the next Bond game is actually in development at Bizarre Creations, with Eurocom having ported Treyarch's Quantum of Solace to Wii last year.

Too early to make assumptions on what this could actually be. My guess is that it's just a codename

This is a stupid idea.

Yeah, don't get excited yet people, remember Rogue Agent existed as well.

I read about that.  I just hope it's not like Golden Eye Rouge Agent.

I seriously doubt it's Goldeneye, they would need permission from Microsoft since Microsoft owns Rare and Rare owns the rights to goldeneye and neither of them own the rights to james bond anymore regardless.
 
This is why Goldeneye isn't coming out on the XBLA, too many licensing issues.

Martin Hollis has said he would still like to see the classic GoldenEye 007 appear on Virtual Console, despite chances of it happening being very slim. He said that the complexity of legal rights that have caused complications in the past are not likely to be sorted out anytime soon, if at all.

Uh oh...if if is either a remake or a sequel to Rogue Agent, I see no good results coming from this. Just give me the XBLA port we have all been wanting...

I'm crossing my fingers for a well executed upgrade of the original.

That game is great, but it hasn't aged well. Hopefully they ether stick with the original and don't alter it, or they go all-out and make a conduit style remake. Well ether way, I'm going to be passing on it.

I played the sequel to Goldeneye on the DS, I didn't see what was so great about it.

I wish they wouldn't call it Goldeneye.

Not a good idea, anything other then the classic made by the same people will suck.

What a horrible, terrible idea. 

I love GoldenEye but no one will feel the same way as they did for the original. 
 
It'll never evoke those feelings of nostalgia, the Wii is too nouveau. 
 
Somehow, someway Nintendo and Rare have to collaborate again.
 
I need me some 2D Donkey Kong Country platforming... put it out for the SNES if you have to.

Not to simply add to speculation, but maybe they're going to make a new 'Goldeneye' for Wii and finally bring out the Goldeneye remake on XBLA.  I could see something like that potentially working out.

 it's a source mod for steam. it is pretty cool goldeneye game. the graphics are decent for it using steam. it really looks like james bond. there aren't a lot of people that play the game but still. the graphics are upgrades from the n64 version.

By the way, "Goldeneye 2010" for the Wii has since allegedly appeared on a resume of some animator dude, was posted as news everywhere, and now the .pdf file in question is down (or did it ever exist?)
