You know who I mean, the woman from the Nintendo press conference.
"Puppies are cute, I broke my wrist, smily smily smily smily"
On a scale of 1 to 10, how terrible is Cammie Dunaway?
Wii
Platform »
The Nintendo Wii is a home video game console released on November 19, 2006. The Wii's main selling point was the innovative use of motion controls that its signature Wii Remote and Nunchuk controllers allowed for. It became the best selling home console of its respective generation of hardware.
How much do we hate Cammie Dunaway?
Well I think hate is a little extreme, although I will admit that I think she isn't that good of a speaker. Mind you, I think that the subject matter that she was talking about contributed to the quality of her presentations. That being said, I won't deny that I don't think she's a suitable replacement for Reggie in regards to being the main Nintendo speaker at press conferences. I suppose we all just felt like we were kindergarten kids, the way she spoke.
So on the scale, I'd have to say 4, because 'hate' is too extreme.

I don't really care. She's a little irritating and uncomfortable, but otherwise, she's just doing her job. I prefer Reggie, though.
" Reggie look at my Adorable Puppy!!!!!!"
Get out just get out now leave the company and go to some other puppy happy lovers convention.
I don't necessarily hate her as a poster said up above, I dislike what she represents for Nintendo during that press conference. Nintendo was not built on casuals, but they sure were catering hard to it.
"i'd hit it
"
lmao I was waiting for someone to say that
I'm not going to bother using the 1-10 scale, but she is extremely irritating. She's just so fake and quite clearly knows nothing about what she's talking about.
Especially sucks for he since she has to fill Reggie's shoes...
I don't hate her, but she's got another thing coming if she thinks she can waltz into a press conference and gain "Reggie status".
I dont hate her. She just needs to understand a bit more about Nintendo. She only knows about the casual side of gaming and not the core. She thinks she does, but she doesn't. The next time she shows up at a conference, she needs to work on her part a bit better. That was their first mistake. Not having Reggie take the stage to start.
I atleast found her a slightly better speaker than Microsoft's Don Mattrick (seriously, does he expect to be the next Peter Moore?)
Still, shes just trying to do her job. I got no problem with her.
I don't hate her like that... I just think she is doing a horrible job - I mean... at the presentation she seemed extremely "fake" in the way she talked and everything - she needs to learn "to be down to earth".
Cammie works pretty well in that casual space Nintendo is going for. She's quite fitting for their casual image, and the whole smiles thing is effective.
The problem is, they brought her out during E3, where all eyes watching are hardcore gamers. The Presentation, including Cammie and the rest sucks, and it was a huge fucking knee in the balls for every serious gamer, and they should apologize and give us money!
I have been writing a selection of short stories featuring Carrie Dunnaway and a series of ridiculously violent and visceral deaths.
It sustains me.

I think she's excellent for appealing to the mainstream audience that the industry is trying to attract especially nintendo. She reminded me of like a really energetic business school teacher. I do not hate her.
I don't really know what to think...
She was just adapting her talk to the "casual" audience, which the whole conference was based on, and she did a pretty good job of doing that. But at E3, that's not what everyone wanted obviously, which lead to a lot of longtime Ninty fans getting pissed. Hell, even Nintendo offered an apology for their conference I heard. I saw what she was doing, and had potential to be a great speaker. Let's just hope that next year's Nintendo E3 doesn't bomb like this years, then maybe she can show her talents off.... Just maybe...
But she was pretty annoying... lol
Do you hate everyone who sells stuff you don't like?
Thats really what people "hate" Nintendo isn't all that concerned with the "gamer" crowd. Yep, it sucks and I hate seeing the games that come to Wii when the potential is so much greater than whats being done. I think the real question is "How much do we hate Nintendo's current direction?"
There was an interview with her on a game site, I forget which one, where she expressed her concerns that people think she is fake because of her enthusiasm.
I don't honestly understand how you can hate someone for standing up and doing a presentation, she was obviously chosen by Nintendo's team for a reason, and probably given a part to play there, but that isn't her fault. She does the job she was given to do, and I can see her having a great appeal with casual gamers. And if that enrages you, then direct that at the current focus of Nintendo, rather than blaming her for a really boring conference.
