The Nintendo Wii is a home video game console released on November 19, 2006. The Wii's main selling point was the innovative use of motion controls that its signature Wii Remote and Nunchuk controllers allowed for. It became the best selling home console of its respective generation of hardware.

I'm totally jonesin' for a Starfox Wii game.

After SSBB I've been playing Starfox Adventures (so incredibly underrated) and Starfox 64 / Lylat Wars recently and realized how much I'd love to see Fox, Falco and friends in their own Wii game in the near future.

It has more potential to be improved by the Wiimote than any other Nintendo franchise, save maybe Zelda.

    Totally!

I've got to be honest though, I'm a super worried that they might go overboard with gimmicky controls for it and totally ruin it (I'M LOOKING AT YOU LAIR).

I think the most possible control scheme they'll come up with is where you have to hold up the wiimote upright like a flight stick. That just seems like really innovative for the series.

    Amen.
On Wario Ware Smooth Moves there was a boss mini-game where you played with the Wiimote sideways and you had to go through part of the first level of the SNES Star Wars. That was a pretty cool control scheme since you had full control of all movements of the Airwing without pressing a single button.

Bah! It seems nobody likes Starfox Assault when it's probably the best game in the series, i will like to see the new SF with more on foot levels and more weapons.

Yeah! Assault got totally panned but personally I think it's a really, really enjoyable game!

Come on Nintendo, get your act together and give us a Starfox game!

Assault is a fine game. I have it for the Gamecube but I have got to say that the lack of alternative paths and the terrible on foot missions make the game worse compared to early Star Fox games. The Airwing missions are amazing though! Nintendo should only focus on Airwings and Landmasters when they are producing the next game.

As long as it centered on vehicle based combat I would love to see Starfox on the Wii.

If they kept the Arwing / Landmaster missions and made the on-foot sections similar to Starfox Adventures, it'd be totally awesome. I like Starfox Adventures, the characters just lend themselves so well to that type of game as well as the on-rail shooters.

I see a new pack-in peripheral. WiiStick. You put the Wiimote into the joystick slot and it acts as a traditional joystick.

    I totally called it.

Word. There's just something so intriguing about the Starfox franchise. I love how the characters are all animals but thats as far as it goes, animal-wise There's something so absurdly hilarious and I just love it.

If they make another one it has to go back to a lylat wars style game with more fighter freedom, no straight track.
