I even sold my copy of the game today because I got tired of all of the racist and homophobic crap that all of the people playing that game are constantly spewing. However, to claim that NSMB Wii is a better game is a bit of a stretch. MW2 is a better built game at a much higher quality than NSMB Wii is from something of a more objective standpoint.  "

That seem a little unfair. The wii is the top selling console, and the PS3 is at the bottom of the 3 right now. It would be better to compare it to the close competitor, but oh well. People like them some SMB3 nostalgia. Actually I popped it in muh NES recently, and it might be the nostalgia speaking, but I liked SMB3 better as it stands. Plus... the kuribo shoe is awesome. 
 
NSMBW is pretty fun, but there isn't much replay value as it stands. What'll really help activision in the long run is the staying power they hold with that game. They got a lot of blitz sales, bu t I think they can also keep a steady influx of sales over the next little while. I'd be interested to see what sales look like in a number of months.

NSMBW is the fastest to 10 million sales of any game on a single console in history and that is pretty special for that alone. 
 
As for NSMBW leading MW2 on the Xbox by the end of January - NOT GOING TO HAPPEN.  The i & 1/2 million gap is not going to be breached.  It will eventually surpass it by a long way though.  Why do people get so heated about such meaningless things?

Maybe you misunderstood how i phrased that. I mean that Mario may have outsold MW2, but (most) people are getting alot more mileage from MW 2 than NSMB. So to rephrase, Mario may have outsold MW2, but people are putting far more hours into MW 2 than Mario.
