I'm looking into getting a fun multi-player game for the Wii.  I've played out WarioWare, so that's out of the question.  I also can't really afford Mario Kart right now, since no place seems to have it in stock for a reasonable price.  My primary options are Boom Blox, Mario Party, and possibly (my girlfriend thought it would be fun) Cooking Mama.  Any thoughts?

In my opinion Mario Party 4 was the best. It was the most basic but very very fun mini games.

I'd reccommend Mario Party, although it might be a better idea to just save up for Mario Kart Wii.

I hate to say it but Cooking Mama was pretty decent

I suggest mariokart, just managed to borrow it of a friend played it online a few times and it really played out well. If your not a racing man i say marioparty thats always a solid party game.

Boom Blox is awesome, I definitely recommend it. Aside from the shooting mode that just makes me ask "why?" there isn't a part of that game I haven't liked.

Mario Party, Kart or even Brawl is good.

Get Boom Blox! Trust me, the single-player is a lot of fun. But when you start playing the multiplayer you won`t be able to put the Wiimote down. My family doesn`t like games that much but once I put Boom Blox during my birthday several people stopped to watch that strange game where you need to destroy huge towers and do many other actions. A few minutes later I was wishing the Wii had support for sixteen Wiimotes.

Cool, thanks for the help.  I ended up getting Boom Blox because I found a new copy on ebay for 35 bucks.  I watched the review, and it looked pretty fun, so I don't think I'll be disappointed.

Boooooooooooom Blox. Best, most accessible party game on the Wii, if not ever.
