The Nintendo Wii is a home video game console released on November 19, 2006. The Wii's main selling point was the innovative use of motion controls that its signature Wii Remote and Nunchuk controllers allowed for. It became the best selling home console of its respective generation of hardware.

It's just something that hit me, but it seems to be that Sonic does better and is more well recieved when he's on Nintendo consoles.

Most current Sonic games are awful. Only one considered genuinely innovative to the franchise is sonic colors. It has nothing to do with the platform its on. It just has to do with the franchise being old in mechanics and Sega not knowing what more to do with it to innovate and make it current (better).

Just my perception of it- I still play sonic 1 and 2 on my sega genesis. I haven't played the new ones all that much.

I don't see why, all the recent games have sucked, regardless of platform.
I've heard the Wii version of Colours is quite good, but I'm sure it'd be just as good on any other platform.

The developers are the problem, not the platforms.

I actually had a ton of fun with Secret Rings. And I hear Colors is actually pretty good. Doesn't matter what platform it stays on, I just hope they continue making the games better and better.

i don't think sega will make soinc only in nintendo platforms , because it's sega not nintendo.

Colours and Secret Rings weren't bad.

Beyond that I haven't liked any, besides the DS games.

Unleashed was multiplatform, and it was a small step in the right direction. Sonic Colours developed on the good of Unleashed and just happened to be a Wii exclusive. The console has nothing to do with it.

That being said, the DS Sonic games are far superior to the home console ones. If we're saying he should stick to one platform, he should stick to the DS (though lets just pretend Sonic Chronicles never happened).

On the review scores, people tend to expect less from the Wii and Sonic games haven't been even halfway decent lately anyway. No surprises there.
