this is a fun prank to play on someone, its very simple to do. 
all you need to do is get someone to play or watch silent hill very late at night. then ask them what you think would happen if you dial your home number from the in game cellphone. after you punch in the number,dial your house with your cell phone and try to freak them out. i played this on my sister just a few hours ago and is really only good for a little scare, but still fun.

I dunno, this seems like the kind of thing where the victim would figure out what was going on very quickly.

yeah it doesn't last very long. like i said, its very simple and only good for a short little scare.
