Looking pretty good in my opinion. Sonic and the Secret Rings was ace, if they improve this it can be the best Sonic title in many years, even with the sword wielding which is better than turning into a werewolf anyway :P

I loved Secret Rings, but the concept for this one is total shit. I'm expecting it to be better than Unleashed though.

The song is bad, Sonic games don't need vocals on their soundtracks, the most epic Sonic tunes are pretty simple!
I think the game is taking itself too seriously and that will be a major mistake.

But Sonic doesn't have all bad games. He has had great games on handhelds for many years now. It's just his Sonic Team games that have been really bad.

The best and most recent trailer of Unleashed vs the first teaser footage of Black Knight? Try going to the first trailer of Unleashed and see how bad that looked. It was a FMV showing the transformation to a werewolf if I recall correctly. Black Knight is a sequel to Secret Rings so you can expect similar gameplay if not heavily improved. The few glimpses of actual footage seen in the trailer look at least as good as that, especially the grassy area Sonic rushes across, while the sword mechanics don't seem to detract from the Sonic experience in any way since he still uses similar moves like the spin attack. Not to mention that that particular Unleashed trailer looks a lot like Secret Rings gameplay rather than the direction of the other Sonic game of the same period on the 360 and PS3 so it seems this new game takes after Secret Rings also, why expect the actual sequel of that to be so much worse? At least it has no beat em up werewolf sections."

They're both going to be bad.  It's not a matter of bias, it's a matter of 3d sonic games having sucked for approximately 10 years.  Sega somehow manages to make 3d Sonic games look "kind of cool" in previews, and they always, without fail, suck profusely.

Sonic Adventure was good, so was Sonic Rush. Other titles could have been pretty good with more development time and budget, like Heroes. Secret Rings was fun, much better than the other Sonic game and a step to the right direction for the series.
