The Nintendo Wii is a home video game console released on November 19, 2006. The Wii's main selling point was the innovative use of motion controls that its signature Wii Remote and Nunchuk controllers allowed for. It became the best selling home console of its respective generation of hardware.
Nintendo have made a plethora of games which are visually cute over the years. What game, or indeed games do you think rank as some of the cutest,visually?. I'm asking this question on the back of watching Galaxy 2 videos - stylistically, it's incredibly cute, far more so than the original was.

Pikmin is definitely up there with the best of them, that game has an abundance of charm that oozes through everything. I cannot wait till E3, when were expected to get our first glimpse of the third game.
To be honest, while I would agree about the majority of characters in Chibi, I wouldn't agree about Chibi Robo himself. I don't think his visual design is as cute - his shape and form Isn't conventionally cute. I would admit wholeheartedly that Chibi does grow on you.
I'm actually hoping he goes through a redesign in any new game...
Kirby. By a long shot. Pikmin is more of a funny weird than cute. Yoshi's Story is like pouring syrup onto your eyeballs. Sweet in concept; but ultimately torturous.

Just because she's a badass bounty hunter doesn't mean that she can't be lovable. I don't ever recall hearing that bounty hunters were required to constantly have an enraged, constipated look on their faces like Kirby in the average North American box art.
When he isn't depicted like he eats nails for breakfast, though, Kirby is pretty darn cute. So is Peach, for that matter.

Now that's evil. I have no familiarity with the franchise to date. I would change that if I could find a cheap copy of the Wii game.

Entirely. He's the best because he can fly and shoot air out of his mouth at lethal speeds, and also consume people's souls and memories to become a doppleganger.

Sorry, but I disagree. That seems totally against her character. I do agree that because someone's tough, doesn't mean they have to be completely 2D, but when has Samus ever been depicted like that? Peach and Kirby, yes, but not Samus. She's a hardend bounty hunter that had her entire family killed and spent her entire life since then killing people. I don't see her having a "hehe, look at THESE boys" side.
Also, if you're complaining again what happened to Kirby in the US, take a look at what happened to Ratchet & Clank in Japan. Or the Powerpuff Girls for that matter. It works both ways :P

Ahh... just seeing that pictures makes me want to play through Wind Waker again!
But yeah, I'm glad you pointed that out. Nintendo has never themselves depicted Samus as a "fluffy" character. Pictures of Samus posing like that are unofficial fanart, not the real Samus whatsoever. :D
Even from what little we've seen of Other M looks like it shows a very sad side of Samus.

I loved that song.
Especially how I was the only one who could stand it. Definitely one of the more memorable tunes of that generation IMO.
