I went back this week and played my old gamecube games and i realized something
 
I mean lets take a look at some of the RPGs on the gamecube shall we ?
 

 

1. Skies of Arcadia
2. Tales of Symphonia
   
3. Phantasy Star online
   
4. Baten Kaitos
5. megaman x command mission
   
6. Paper Mario

Because the Wii is for your grandmother or retarded family member, which is pretty much the same thing.

I know what you mean, man. Those Baten Kaitos games were somethin' special.
 
Anyway, the Wii is supposed to be getting some--XenoBlade, The Last Story and Arc Rise Fantasia--though if they turn out to be amazing or not remains to be seen.

Why doesn't the PS3 have amazing RPGs like the PS2?

Well, if you use the backwards compatibility, the Wii has some amazing RPGs. I mean, just take a look at this list:

2. Tales of Symphonia
   
3. Phantasy Star online
   
4. Baten Kaitos
5. megaman x command mission
   
6. Paper Mario

Isn't it obvious? Soccer moms aren't into JRPG's.

Skies of Arcadia was originally on the Dreamcast. 
Paper Mario DOES have a game on the Wii. It was a lot of fun.

 Now why can't the wii have some  RPGs such as these ? I have yet to find a RPG for the wii that isn't some waggle fest . And that Tales of Symphonia sequel ....yea not so great :( "

The Gamecube is so fucking underrated, it's not even funny. What a great console. I still play mine to this day.

Sorry to burst your bubble, but half those games came out on other platforms (more than half if you count the Japan-only PS2 port of ToS). The other half however... Sure, I agree with Paper Mario and Baten Kaitos is appearently alright. But the Gamecube was never really an RPG powerhouse (that's why people had a PS2 after all). I guess the same is so for the wii. However, I'm sure that there are some good ones out there, but I'm not the right person to ask about that kind of stuff
