Wii no Ma Channel
Nintendo has revealed new details on it's upcoming Wii On-Demand video service, "Wii no Ma Channel".
The free channel hits the Japanese service on May 1st, offering a virtual living room experience for up to 8 Mii's and a load of videos to save and download.
- The previously hinted DSi link-up is reality, users will be able to link up their DSi's to watch saved content on the go by using the "Dokodemo Wii no Ma" application on the console. (available at launch)
- Alongside regular videos will be adverts/commercials, on a separate page, fans can order product samples directly from the Wii.
- Calendar available for a new daily image, and text content.
- Nintendo will be working with celebs to try and bring their Mii's into this virtual living room - by presenting special programs for example.
- Limited video content initially, plans to expand the service in the future. It's unknown how paid/free content will work
- Download content by filtering results through recommended, recent and key words.
