World in Conflict puts the player into a Cold War scenario in which the Soviets mount a full scale invasion on Europe and America.

Objects

AH-64 Apache

The AH-64 is an Attack Helicopter specializing in the destruction of enemy vehicles and infantry. It appears in a number of games.
Aircraft Carrier

The largest weapon in modern militrary arsenals. Use missiles, rockets and deck guns as defense weapons and can carry hundreds of combat ready planes and bombers as well as thousands of combat ready Marines. They are known as "Cities at Sea".
AK-47

As prolific in video games as it is in real life, this iconic Russian workhorse is a mainstay of virtual firepower.
AK-74

A refinement of the AK-47, The AK-74 was released in 1974. It uses smaller 5.45mm rounds instead of the 7.62mm rounds that the AK-47 uses.
AKS-74u

A modified, compact version of the AK-74.
Anti-Aircraft Gun

An emplacement gun used to shoot down enemy aircraft.
Armored Personnel Carrier

The APC lends protection from small-arms fire to infantry units in transit. An element of 20th and 21st century warfare, it is often depicted in futuristic settings.
Battle Dress Uniform

Garments worn by Military or Para-Military organizations for combat related situations. These garments range from the Marines heavy duty Camouflaged battle dress they use in the Middle East to the SWAT uniforms our police departments use such as the DEA or U.S. Marshalls.
Beretta M9

The M9 pistol is the current service pistol for the United States military. It is also known as the Beretta M92F.
BMP-1

The BMP-1 is a Soviet Infantry Fighting Vehicle.
Bomb

A bomb is an explosive device.
FAMAS

The FAMAS is a bullpup assault rifle designed and manufactured in France by MAS (Manufacture d'Armes de Saint Etienne) and fires the NATO 5.56x45mm rounds
Fuel Air Bomb

Massive explosive that uses a vaccum to suck oxygen into a pressure filled warhead and explodes above ground causing massive damage.
Grenade

A grenade is an explosive device traditionally thrown by hand, but may also be propelled by a rifle or launcher.
Gun

Considered one of the most frequent and controversial implements of destruction in video games and real life, guns are devices that fire projectiles with explosive force.
Helicopter

Helicopters are flying vehicles, typically with a single large main rotor to maintain lift with a tail rotor to counter rotation induced by this main rotor. They are useful in air to ground combat as well as for quickly inserting and recovering infantry close to the front line.
Helmet

Whether it's worn for protection or style, helmets appear in various game genres.
HMMWV

The High Mobility Multipurpose Wheeled Vehicle (HMMWV or "Humvee") is a lightly-armored military motor vehicle, primarily used as the workhorse of the United States Armed Forces.
Leopard 2

One of the last generations of main battle tanks the Leopard 2 is one of the most successful and widely used tanks. The tank has been widely used by most NATO member states as their main battle tank.
Lighthouse

A lighthouse is a tower usually placed on the top of coastal cliffs, bearing a rotating light at the top to prevent ships from crashing into rocks.
M-203 Grenade Launcher

An accessory for the M16 rifle. It is a grenade launcher that is installed under the barrel of the rifle. It fires a 40mm grenade with an effective range of 150 meters (160 yards) .
M1 Abrams

Named after General Creighton Abrams, the M1 Abrams is the latest generation main battle tank of the United States Army and Marine Corps. Heavily armed, highly mobile, and equipped with impenetrable armor, the M1 Abrams is the crown of modern ground warfare.
M16A2

A modified version of the M16A1. This model features a new adjustable rear sight and a 3-round burst setting instead of the fully automatic setting. It's accuracy, lightweight nature, and easy, tool free maintenance makes it extremely popular with military forces, though it was mostly replaced by M16A4 and M4.
M16A4

The current main combat rifle (MCR) for the U.S. military, it has been in service since the Vietnam War. The rifle is slated to be replaced by a newer series of rifles by 2012, most likely the FN SCAR (SOF Combat Rifle).
M1911

Hand held projectile weapon, originally chambered in .45 ACP, from the mind of John Moses Browning.
M2 Bradley Fighting Vehicle

A IFV (infantry fighting vehicle) that is used to transport troops into hostile territory as well as to engage light armored targets and infantry .
Makarov PM

A semi-automatic double action pistol designed after the Great Patriotic war (1941-1945), to replace the obselete Tokarev TT & revolvers used by the Soviet army.
Mikoyan

Mikoyan aircraft, also known as MiG, are Russian military aircraft that are used in many games.
Mil Mi-24 Hind

This fearsome Russian attack helicopter has featured in many games, an annoyance in flight sims and action games your best tactic would be to shoot them down fast.
Missile

An explosive ordinance propelled by a rocket engine designed to blow an object to smithereens. A missile is often guided, in some way, to its target. For example; by laser, remote control, or computer/GPS.
