You knew World of Warcraft's upcoming Cataclysm expansion wouldn't be released without a collector's edition. Blizzard has revealed a special (presumably day-and-date) $80 bundle that has all the traditional fixings a diehard WOW user could possibly get behind. It's a list that includes a thick art book, a soundtrack, and an exclusive in-game pet. The bundle will also include a 60-card starter deck for the World of Warcraft trading card game and a special-edition mouse pad with a depiction of a Deathwing.

SECOND!

This is the first time I'm not going to pick up the CE, I have the other three but with money at an all time low, the bonuses just aren't worth it for me.  The CD was always the biggest attraction, but I've discovered the wonderful universe of MPQ mining, making game soundtracks a thing of the past.
 
I'll be happy with my regular edition this time.  Nov. 5th is the release date btw.

I'm torn if I should buy this or not, I have the WC3/SC2 CEs, but I took a while to jump on WoW and don't have any previous ones.

I regret not getting the Lich King CE because I missed out on the soundtrack. I loooove the music in Wrath of the Lich King. So I guess the soundtrack for this is worth the extra money to me by itself. Consider it bought!

When the mini Deathwing graphic leaked a while back, some speculated that it was going to be an included non-combat pet with the CE. 
 
Oh, by the way, I will buy this CE.

When I quit WoW, I thought I would never come back. After seeing videos from the beta and now seeing this just makes it harder to stay away.

Getting it. I love my Wrath of the Lich King Collector's Edition stuff. I still use the mouse mat.

Boy, I really want this...

I returned to WoW after a 13 month hiatus. I have a lot of fun with it. Will stop as soon my 60 days of prepaid gametime run out. And get back to it with Cataclysm for  another 60 days. Don't want to push into the endgame. As soon as the current content is clear and grinding hardmodes begins for real... nah - I'll be long gone this time around. Playing other, more exciting and fresh games.

That exclusive pet is really all they need to sell it.  WoW fans are crazy and if they can get their fingers around an exclusive pet to show off in Azeroth, they'll pay anything.

Love the cover! Also, interesting they're including TCG cards again, sense Upper Deck lost the license to it and Blizz is now doing it with some in house team.

So pretty much the same deal as with WotLK and TBC. I got the collector's edition for both of those, and I certainly will with Cataclysm as well :):

Nothing unexpected here given past CEs, that said Blizz always makes a very well presented offering - I guess they will be getting even more of my money...

why do you need original game for this "expansion" if it's remake of original game?

I don't play or want to play WoW, but I really want that artbook. Good thing I have a fiancee who'll get it.

I'm getting the special edition this time because I missed out on the others, didn't think they where worth it at the time but now the collector in me wants me to buy the bigger, more expensive versions.  
 
The bonuses aren't that great and I agree with that but that little Deathwing is pretty awesome and cataclysm looks like it is going to be the best expansion thus far, apart from the initial release of classic.
