    Was playing got told to log off by the game ... not been able to get on since been trying for 46minutes now ... good times

    I tried it like 50 times, and all of those times it is "connecting" and then suddenly i get disconnect message, tho i got to "retrieving realm list" at one moment tho that retrieving didn't last long...

    I fully expect that the game is going to be down more than up over the next day or so.  Even if it's just login or authentication servers.  Crap like this always happens when there's a huge patch or new expansion.

    This.  Stop bitching, and use your brian no amount of money in the world will ever help a rush of millions of people hitting servers, just sit down and wait and try once in a while, spamming the server will not help anyone.

    We're talking about millions of people trying to access considerable amounts of data from a small number of servers. While I can understand annoyance at the situation, this isn't really to do with any incompetence on Blizzard's part. This kind of situation would present a considerable challenge to any company, no matter who was running the servers. While I think a certain amount of criticism of Blizzard is valid one thing they are not is a company that tries to make money by cheaping out on things. They know it's in their best interests to ensure their own servers work and will be making steps to do so.
