Even though I only played for about 2 months when Cataclysm launched I did enjoy coming back to WoW after a long period of being away and I am actually thinking of picking this up even to just experience that rush of new people in the new zones for the first month or so. Also playing with GB duders is always fun. I do worry I will be bored however because after playing Old Republic for a couple weeks I do expect a little more in the story department from MMOs now. Anyone else contemplating getting this in September and throwing your life away for a bit?
World of Warcraft: Mists of Pandaria
Game » consists of 4 releases. Released Sep 25, 2012
Unveiled at Blizzcon 2011, Mists of Pandaria is the fourth expansion for World of Warcraft. The game focuses on the war between the Horde and Alliance, and not a main villain like the previous expansions. Players embark on a journey to Pandaria, discovering a new race, class and much more.
Anyone going to jump in again when this comes out?
After playing the beta I discovered I'm a furry. Something about those chubby asian women. I'm probably getting into it again and re-rolling my most of my characters to be female pandaren (I was up to around 20+ characters 80+, probably 14 of those were 85? =/)
The story in the Pandaren starting area's pretty good. I seem to have liked most of the WoW lore though. Most of my friends who played ToR said that WoW had a much better story too, but that's all anecdotal and I've not played ToR myself :(
As someone who raised a WoW character through TBC and WOTLK and got really bummed out by how lame Cata was, I'm not looking forward to Pandaria from what I played of the beta. Over simplified talent trees for noobs are not cool. No one wants that shit (from what I've seen anyway)
Guild Wars 2 will be alive and kicking by the time Pandaria comes out and I wholeheartedly expect all of my attention to be placed on that instead.
I'm one of those (seemingly) rare people who only started playing WoW a couple of months ago. Literally, booted it up for the first time. I've got my main up to level 63 now and I'm definitely looking forward to starting a Pandaren character for my second character. Not gonna roll a monk - everyone will be doing that. Thinking of a Paladin. A Pandalin.
I just renewed 2 days ago lol Just to get all set and ready for the expansion and finish off some content I missed in Cataclysm

Of course I am, but I don't see my life being thrown away. I have way too many responsibilities now that I didn't have when WoW was a large part of my life. I am really interested in trying the new systems like Pet Battles and the Challenge Dungeons. I really feel those are great additions that I don't need to dedicate my entire life to stay competitive. (Like Raiding and Arena)
Well I'm back in. I hope the official GB guild, the Bomb Squad, gets more people on once this expansion hits. It used to be so alive but now it's well not as alive although it looks like some extremely dedicated players are hanging on which I'm glad as someone who was there in the early days of the guild. Got back through the Scroll of Resurrection and plan on playing as Pandaria ramps up. Now that Old Republic has gone free to play I don't mind letting that collect dust for a bit.
probably not. comes out during my last semester and by the time i'm done most of my friends will be done with it if they decide to go back to it.
