I just downed Lich King for the first time this past week, and was very excited about it. Although that really didn't last long, after about an hour after the raid, I found myself getting very bored. granted theres still gear to get, and heroics to work on, but i want to find something else to do on WoW. Any suggestions would be good, EX. A fun set of achievements to go after, or interesting quest lines to do.

What to do in WoW when you get bored.

Run around Dalaran and troll trade chat...isn't that what you're supposed to do?
In all seriousness though when I played WoW I spent a fair bit of time minipet/mount hunting. So if that interests you, you might want to go for those achievements to get the special minipets/mounts.
The whole game is something to do. Achievements and Quests are for straight nublets though. I suggest soloing old dungeons like Magisters Terrace for rare mounts, raiding Ally towns and cities with just a few homies (or a big official raid), start characters on the other side (ally/horde) and screw with people, raid opposite faction starting zones, find glitches in cities (going under Org), dude the list goes on. As much as I like raiding, there's no challenge and it's barely fun unless your crew knows wassup. I much prefer the "boredom" in between. If you're all serious though, I suggest helping lower level guildies with whatever their working on, farming mats or gold for the guild, or PVP. Or just go outside. Whatever.
Edit: Oh and the Time Lost Proto Drake. Yeah, don't waste your time unless you seriously research all the routes and are willing to devote two full weeks of 8+ hours a day to searching. Unless you improve your odds with stuff like that, it most for surely won't happen.

"I find a lot of people who weren't around in Vanilla skipped most, if not all, of the classic raids. I knows DKs, Pallys, and 1 or 2 other classes are capable of soloing a few of them, but it's still pretty hard by yourself. If you can, grab a few friends and go have a ball.
Maybe try for mounts, dungeon/raid achievements, Frostbitten achievement, tabard hunting? Side note: camping for the Time-Lost Proto Drake suuuuuuuuuucks. Took me 6 weeks of camping to get, another guy I camped with occasionally took only a week, ran into a guy who camped just over 4 months. You might get lucky and get it right away, but definitely be prepared to wait, and have lots of stuff to do while you wait for NPCScan to go off.
" @Sabata said:Yep, I played WoW for a while. Then I got bored. So I quit giving them all of my money and went on to games that didn't bore me." Stop playing. "i was literally about to type just that "
stop playing. it will wreck your life. It also prevents you from being a real gamer becuse when you get deep inyo Wow, it's all you play.
Can't seem to find the site at the moment (one of the wiki sites found ages ago when I was playing) had a list of some of the more obscure quest chains out there with the history of the scarlet crusade or the sprite darter pet & others that many people might not have skipped past while playing. Might be easier now but there's a lot of the quest chains out there that have odd rewards worth going after that or you could just start over with another character/faction to try that out.
I would also like to second the motion that when one gets bored in WOW, that is the perfect time to go back to reality. I have played wow from day 1 up until April of last year and then I started back last month because my fiance wanted me to show her the game. Trust me when I say there are things to do outside of WOW; it sounds douchey, but I think that is the prime time to go and get some sunlight, read a good book, play some DnD, whatever. The same goes for any videogame, but most especially MMOs.
" @Sabata said:Beat me to it. Oh fuck this topic is old and got resurrected." Stop playing. "/topic "
Beat me to it a long time ago, I guess.
