This can't be good news for Blizzard, if it stays this way they won't be gaining near as much cash as before.

What kind of crime could have W.o.w have done to stop it from being reissued in china again? Man, that sucks for everyone involved, even the Chinese people.

This is actually pretty surprising to me, but that's like half their user base isn't it?

My understanding is yes, but these are people that don't pay monthly or yearly subscriptions like people in the West do.  They just won't be able to boast 10 million+ 'subscribers' as they did before.

The crime of not being a Chinese company's game, I'd guess.  China have been trying to kick the West out of their gaming industry in recent months.

I have a bad feeling about this.  Hopefully nothing major happens to WoW and it's community.

I thought the biggest WoW userbase was in Korea, not China.

True, but Blizzard had hoped to change that.

Wow, that's incredibly odd news to see.  China did hold a pretty big portion of the WoW user base, but it's more shocking to see the extremes that China is now going to in order to censor their users.  This Ministry of Culture they've got going has really been fucking shit up over there.

Hopefully, they'll get the sand out of their vaginas pretty soon and let some doods play again.  However, it would seem that the gaming centers over there are hitting a nerve.  If I had to guess, a lot of this action from the Ministry would probably be due to the fact that gold farms are paying better than the shit jobs they want the people to be doing.

The Giantbomb crew should take a trip to China and record an Endurance Run there. =P

Thats a lot of wishful thinking right there. Not gonna happen.

Things like these make me say : I love being a canadian.

also a gamespot user made a pretty cool comment, this might mean less chinese gold farmers. How can that be a bad thing?
