World War Zero: Iron Storm

World War Zero: Iron Storm is a remake of the PC first-person/third-person shooter Iron Storm. Developed by Rebellion, the remake includes updated graphics and updated mission design. The game was released in Europe for the PS2 in 2004 but it was later ported back to the PC in 2005.

Necessary to sustain life in organic creatures, the crimson fluid known as blood tends to make appearances when the body's structure is compromised in some way, a very, very common occurrence in videogames.
Boss Fight

A boss fight is a culminating challenge that pits the player against one or more enemies representing a greater threat and/or difficulty than those previously faced. These scenarios typically feature unique antagonists.
Difficulty Level

Sometimes you want a challenge, sometimes you wanna coast.
Explosion

A powerful release of energy. This energy is usually expelled in all directions very quickly, typically giving off orange or red flames.
Fire

In games, fire can be an obstacle, a tool, a weapon, or a solution. Just don't play with it...unless you really want to.
First-Person Perspective

First-Person is a vantage point that attempts to simulate looking through a game character's eyes. It is most commonly found in First-Person Shooters and Racing Games, and to a lesser extent in other genres, such as RPGs and 3D Platformers.

Most modern shooting games add the realistic touch of rendering shots to the cranium instantly fatal. Glorious for the shooter, kind of a bummer to the shootee.
Health

Health is a value that gauges how much damage players can take in a game before they die or pass out. Also known as life in some games. Health is usually represented by a bar or a percentage instead of an exact amount. Found in most non sport games
Historical Inaccuracy

Historically inaccurate games are those that do not abide by actual historical timelines for design or plot points.
One-Man Army

A circumstance in video games where the player will defeat large numbers of enemies without any assistance from AI or other players. This may occur for part of a game or the entirety of it.
Polygonal 3D

Who needs 2D when we've got 3D? 3D, or 3 dimensions, is what we're used to seeing in almost every game these days, letting us do all sorts of awesome stuff like run in circles!
Reloading

Reloading is the action of replacing the ammunition magazine inside a gun. It adds a touch of realism to most modern shooters, and a certain amount of tension when a player is forced to reload while under fire.
Side Quests

Quests that aren't necessary for game completion. They typically offer side-stories or specific rewards.
Sniping

Eliminating a target with a long-range rifle.
Tank Boss

Like its airborne cousin, the Helicopter Boss, the Tank Boss is a large and stubborn metallic adversary.
Waking Up Captured

You're halfway through the game or more, everything's going great. You've got tons of weapons and crap and BAM! Flash grenade! You wake up later captured, off to either be executed, interrogated, etc. Often, you've lost all of your weapons as well. You sir, have just woken up captured.
WASD Movement

WASD, or WADS, is the most common and often the default setting to move your character in PC games with a first or third person perspective.

World War I was a global conflict which took place primarily in Europe and Asia from 1914 to 1918.
