As far as I know, yukes is in charge of the last gen versions and visual concepts is in charge of the current gen versions.

Put no effort into the last gen version and remove key features because they know people will buy it anyway. Then when people see how much better the current gen version is they'll buy that too.

We already know that both versions play completely different and use a different engine.

It shouldn't be a surprise, we see this every year with Madden/Fifa/etc. and it isn't going to be any different with wrestling. The companies don't care at all about the last gen audience, but the game will still sell regardless so they crap out a version that's just a roster update to last year's game.

Some of the features taken out are head scratchers, don't know why they couldn't just copy and paste the scene creator stuff over to this year's game.

This year's game being gutted shouldn't really be a surprise since it's first one on current gen...trickle down effect means old gen suffers as well.

It's cute that they got Sting in there this year, but I don't really see any reason to pick the game up this year unless you're a total diehard that buys it every year no matter what.

It's preferable for the last gen version to be gimped instead of the current version.
