Jeff and I spent weeks trying to gank someone's pre-order code for WWE All Stars, the one that gave you access to perpetually evil multimillionaire and master of the perfectly-trimmed beard, Ted DiBiase (as well as his son, confusingly also named Ted DiBiase). I guess we can give up that hunt, as THQ announced today that the Million Dollar Man and son are now available for purchase in the game's DLC store on both Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 for $1.99 (or 160 Microsoft Space Dollars).

The Million Dollar Man: Great WWE villain? Or GREATEST WWE villain?
The Million Dollar Man: Great WWE villain? Or GREATEST WWE villain?

Even more exciting is the announced upcoming schedule of DLC, which features a number of classic wrestlers the likes of which any old school wrestling fan should find themselves uncontrollably squeeing with glee over. Go ahead and get your squee face ready, I'll wait.

    We good? Okay.

July 5th will see the release of the "All-Time Greats Pack," which includes the Legion of Doom (Hawk and Animal, for the uneducated), Jerry "The King" Lawler, and Chris Jericho. That pack will retail for $4 (320 MS points).

Also on July 5th, R-Truth will be made available as a free download. Because honestly, who would pay money for R-Truth?

On August 2nd, THQ will take a trip down to Cobb County Georgia and release the "Southern Charisma Pack," featuring the face of law and order in the WWE, the Big Boss Man (as well as Michael Hayes, and Mark Henry). That pack will retail for $3 (240 MS points).

Whether or not more DLC will come down the pipes following the August release, THQ isn't currently saying, but between the Million Dollar Man, the Legion of Doom and Big Boss Man, I don't have many complaints about the selections they've made. That said, if we don't get a "Many Faces of Charles Wright" pack, featuring The Godfather, Kama "The Supreme Fighting Machine," and Papa Shango, this whole WWE All Stars endeavor will have been entirely for naught. For naught, I say!

    Mark Henry an All Star?

Also pretty sure you linked the wrong Micheal Hayes, though this one sounds more interesting.

Greatest WWE villain would be the Undertaker before he became "old man walking" and that grunge biker crap.

edit: I should add they have a winning engine once again, to the likes of AKI quality (EFFU JackPac). Anything they do with this engine that's wrestling related I'll be interested in, even a TNA title. Also those prices are great. 5 dollars is what an action figure cost back in the day.

I would like to see Kamala, George 'the Animal" Steele, Moon Dogs, The Samoans, Tonga Kid, Tito Santana, Don Muraco, Demolition (just so the road warriors can whip their ass), Black Jack Mulligan and of course Sky Low Low & The Haiti Kid.

I totally bought The Million Dollar Man last night! Looking forward to some more of these legends of WWE DLC. They are priced fair enough and it reminds me of some of my old action figures I had as a kid.

Also, we need a Mick Foley pack; Dude Love, Mankind, and Catus Jack!

I wish they had of put the million dollar man one up for literally a million dollars. Even just as a joke for a few days before they put it down to the real price. I think Ted would have liked that.

R-Truth was awesome in TNA. I caught a WWE show recently and just was saddened by the whole conspiracy angle they have him working.

On a side note, unless they add some more Achievements I've already S-Ranked this game, and won't be going back to it just to play some new characters. Even though I would love to throw the Liontamer on some people.

These are great deals. $1 per character is just right and, unlike most DLC, doesn't try to extort you. (Hey Capcom, how you doin'?)

Im a bit sad that i got tired of this game so fast. It was fun but got a bit stale i thought. But seeing them adding Y2J is pretty awesome. Im guessing R-Truth and Mark Henry are added because they are part of a couple of big current storylines in the WWE.

We don't care and this game sells penuts! actually penuts sell more than this recycled rubbish. A game that does just over 250,000 units is terrible and SVR series can only reach close to a million.

They need to stop making wwe games for a year or 2 and work on a new engien for it cause come next gen it's all down hill for wwe games.

@BacardiExpress: Have you played All Stars? It is a mayor departure from the SVR games.I hope they make a WWE All Stars 2.Because SVR 12 is already doing the whole "new engine" "new animations" "new etc etc."  All Stars is just too much arcadey fun to go back to SVR games.

Legion of Doom and such tag teams shouldn't be in this game, because this game puts more emphasis on the singles wrestlers. Hell, there aren't even tag team moves in this game, therefore don't expect to see the Doomsday Device.
