I don't think i'll get anywhere with this, but does anyone recall an episode of the X-files where the sound of a alien Sectoid dying was used. I don't remember the exact scene, unfortunately. Plus, I'm sure the sound effect used was most likely a standard set of sound effects used in any project. I just thought it was interesting to hear.

That sound effect is used in so many things now.  Heck there are tons of sound effects from games like X-Com and Doom that are prominent in tv shows and film.  I think the alien death scream is a required sound in any Sci-Fi original movie featuring alien chupacabras or whatever.

I remember the hearing that when I watched the show. As was mentioned, I've also heard other X-COM sounds being used all around the place. I even remember a Dominos Pizza ad using the door-opening sound once!

P.S. I have all the sounds as MP3s if anyone wants them ;)
