From Beat-em-ups to fighting games to modern FPS, one dude hitting another has made an enjoyable pastime.
A fighting game concept in which a player using a particular character can fight against either the CPU or another player using the same character.
A fighting area that possess multiple locations, which can be gained by one player striking the other at specific locations with a powerful move. One character proceeds to the next arena unwillingly, and taking damage. The other player follows the first player and does not take damage. While many fighting games feature character-specific chains, a Universal Chain Combo is a combo that allows essentially every character in a given game to cancel their weaker basic attacks into their stronger ones.
Primarily found in fighting or sports games, the versus screen typically masks the load time of an upcoming matchup. Sometimes codes may be entered here that will affect the game.
