While sure, the 360 controller works for some 3d fighters fine, the truth is that it just sucks for 2d fighters.  They feel weird.  It's still playable, but you don't want to play with the analog stick on a 2d fighter so much (and the d-pad sucks) and older and stiffer 2d games mostly need a good d-pad.

Here's the solution, pretty much a blend of the 360 controller and genesis controller with a street fighter paint coat.

And also, miss your genesis?  This is pretty much the perfect controller for it along with the genesis collection coming out later.

Kind of old, but damn, I want Ken, Ryu, and Chun-Li. Too bad I'm buying it for my PS3 and not my 360. PS3 controllers work fine for fighting games.

^ but the d-pad positioning is wrong.
And I don't know how else to say how much I hate it. 

Fighters and some 2d games: d-pad top left corner
Everything else: bottum left

I quite literally put the ps3 controller into a 360 controller. Harder than you think by the way.  Youtube tutorials ftw!  Considered doing the same with the 360 but I dont have a fighter for it yet
When SF4 or Tekken 6 hit $20, I'm getting a ryu controller and the game.

The xbox controller is officially better in every respect, lulz.   But seriously, this is going to be better than the ps3 controller for fighters.  Unless its uncomfortbale or something (looks fairly comfortable though)

Do you know any "current solution" for this freakin' problem. I love Super Street Fighter 2 THDR, but it's not that good with the analog stick. Any current good 3rd party X360 controller with a good D-pad?  .................. The D-Pad problem is also preventing me from buying Bionic Commando re-armed, and MegaMan 9

I think there were similar controllers for the PS2 when Street Fighter Anniversary Collection came out. I hope this controller turns out to be as effective as those, as I will definitely be playing this on the 360.
