Fable 2 vs. Fallout 3?
Which are you more hyped for?
Personally Fable 2 appeals to me a lot more, and I loved the original so it makes sense to be hyped for the sequel. Fallout 3 hasn't really impressed me yet, and the world lacks the colour that Fable 2 has. I'm tired of different shades of gray. I probably will buy both, but Fallout 3 can wait.
Im looking foward to fallout 3 more than fable..Specially head targetting an stuff...Though to be honest i was dissapointed in the first fable...It was so linear one path...Those type of games exceot in games like ff13...Just cant get into..Though the second fable looks a lot better...Im hopeful hes made it open ended...It would add so much more gameplay...
I'm looking more forward to fallout 3; Oblivion is my favorite game of this generation, so I'm looking forward to an experience like that. Fable 2 might be great, or it might be relatively weak. I think with Fable 2 what I'll want is to be able to slow down or stop time at points so that by time I finish my character isn't some 70 year old geezer...
Fable 2 for sure, its my most anticipated game.
I mean, a game where everything from how active you are to how rich you are will change your appearance. I just cant wait
At first i was really excited for fable2, but it kinda looks like the same thing all over.
I love the look of the new fallout, im definitely getting this.
I have to agree with Gladestone, I was disappointed with the first Fable. Probably due to all the hype surrounding it (if you plant a tree you will see it grow, burn a house and the ashes will be there, etc). I just think the oblivion/fallout 3 play style will appeal to me more.
Sorry I own both, guess my opinion won't be taken seriously then(damn!) Anyway /end sarcasm- Fable 2 doesn't look bad I would say,but Fallout 3 from seeing a good amount of combat and shit in the game, looks waaay more impressive. I played the first Fable, and it definately didn't live up to hype it was given(thats peter molyneux for you though)
I just don't get his appeal or trying to sell this game, trying to say the combat is as simple as a "single button press" doesn't impress me,it kind of makes me figure its so simple and stupid easy it isn't satisfying in any way. Then the other thing is constantly bragging about the dog..christ sakes, DOGMEAT>FABLE2 DOG end of story.
Fallout 3 is my most anticipated game of the year. I've recently gotten the first 2 and have been playing those. I'm going to go back into Oblivion soon, barely played it, but doing so just to get a feel of what a current gen Fallout game will feel like. As far as Fable 2 goes, I'm not necessarily hyped for it. I didn't play the first one, but 2 is just not that appealing to me anymore. Maybe I should go back and watch the dev interviews and gameplay footage from E3.
"For 360 owners only :)Erm, if you own both, you are a 360 owner. I didn't say '360 only owners'. The reason I said that was because I could see the Sony fanboys saying how much better Fallout 3 will be just for the fact that they won't get to play Fable 2. I own both consoles too.

Now I've heard from Fallout 3 fanboys that the Fallout 3 E3 demo was a misrepresentation of the game and that the demo made it look too much like a FPS, when really it's a post-apocalyptic version of Oblivion. But I never really liked Oblivion and don't need another FPS so it's Fable 2 for me.
The fact is that, the type of game that Fallout 3 is,it doesn't demo well, period. Everyone has some 5 minute clip of Fallout 3 in action, and it isn't showing off shit of what the game is about. And since some are saying you don't like the way the combat looks(because thats really all thats been shown) Any open world game that has a ton and ton of features about it,isn't going to demo well in a period of 5 minutes or less,it just isn't going to happen. Honestly besides both being part RPG,these games are so far from each other ,and not at all similar,so comparing these 2 games really doesn't say much.
Actually this is a really tough question. I have many memories with Fable 1, while I also have huge amounts of memories with Oblivion. Fallout 3 is made by the guys that made oblivion, but I'm not a huge fan of the destroyed world setting. I guess I'm more excited for Fable 2, with its gorgeous environments and choices.
Fallout 3. I'm excited about both, but I love the Fallout universe, and post-apocalyptic senarios in general.
Not a 360 owner but that's a real tough one... Probably Fable 2 though, just from my taste. But Fallout 3 isn't far behind, I think its just personal preference though.
But I agree with pause, some games are just impossible to demo and show its full potential, such as Fallour 3.
Exactly, its completely true that the majority of people like to see the world in ruin, wether in games or movies,(especially if you live in the country that is torn apart),kind of odd I guess, but definately makes for a great setting for a game, and Fallout is an amazing world, and i'm sure Bethesda will do it justice.
I like fallout 3 because everything in it looks so promising. Fable 2 looks good too but not as much.
I'm going to get both but I'm more hyped for Fable 2 because I haven't played any Fallout games yet but it sure looks interesting.
Fable 2. Fallout 3 is a shadow of its former glory. Qouting the developers of the game, "Its oblivion with guns...in all the right ways".
*pukes*
I have no previous experience with either franchise and both look appealing to me. However, the gore perk is making me lean to Fallout 3.
I agree with you exactly. Fable 2 looks awesome and Fallout 3 looks... kinda bland and I'm really not interested in it
