I feel really disappointed in it. I mean MS, Halo is their franchise, the one that made them what they are today and they decide to pull it out. 

It has been confirmed that it is a new Halo game, but one that is Master Chief less and not the Jackson project nor Halo Wars, what could it be? =p

I was really upset when I read the announcement but I have forgotten about it till now.  I'm sure news will come soon but more than likely with all this hype and build up it will surely disappoint and you will wonder why you were ever excited to begin with.

It annoys me, but it sounds like I won't like this new game anyway.

It wasn't really 'cancelled', just delayed - probably because they wanted to make a bigger deal out of it whenever they do announce it, and not have it drown out everything else.
No doubt it's something new Haloish - not really bothered myself either way because I don't have a 360.

I'm not all that bothered, because it's only a matter of time before we get the announcement anyway. It's only be posponed not cancelled. It's not really a big deal.

There are enough good  games coming out to distract me so i don't mind too much.

It's disappointing, and they blame it on their publisher, which is MS, so.... once again im mad at MS.

It got delayed because their press conference got too long. Silly, but true. The announcement will come soon, and it will amaze us.

I was pissed off at the whole situation. They built up the hype with their site being down and MS had to jump on it and shut it down.

I'm not upset, but a little surprised about it.

Gamespot ran a story saying it was a squad based shooter like Ghost Recon set in the Halo universe.

It was dumb to cancel or delay the announcement because now we know what they were hiding, and its another game in the halo universe and not an original ip. After the first one they all look the same.

On the other hand, now there's even more buzz about it than before and people will go nuts when the 'real' announcement comes out.  There's plenty of depth in the Halo universe, so it is time enough to start exploring it in ways that are not FPSs starring Master Chief.

Disappointed for sure, and also a little worried. It really bothers me that Microsoft would put any kind of strain on the their relationship with Bungie. It's not like they own them anymore, so I think they should be very careful how they treat them.

I understand that they would like to save this big announcement for another time. I just think they shouldn't have let Bungie hype it for weeks and start a count down.

No master chief in Halo? Forget it..I mean he's not that great of a character but he sort of sets up the whole vibe

Why try to build all this hype for a trailer?  If there was something playable then maybe it would have been nice to see but odds are it was just some teaser trailer that really would have only confirmed that a new Halo game is coming.  I bet this game doesn't even ship till 2010.
