How Many USB Drives Can I Use At Once?

Hey duders, sorry if this is a stupid question, but I can't find an answer on the Xbox Support site.
So you can use 16-gig USB flash drives to store stuff, yes? But how many are you allowed to have plugged into the system at once? Am I only allowed to use one, or could I jam five drives into all those USB ports?

As far as I know, as many as you have USB ports. I only have an ancient 360 dug up from the depths of the red-ring apocalypse with 3 ports, but I've filled them with two USB sticks and a hard drive before.

@1337W422102: Keep plugging them in until you run out of ports... they'll all work.

There are three ports on my Xbox. I would assume this means that I can have three USB flash drives plugged in at any given time. I'm not sure if there are more or less USB ports on any other Xbox.

The USB standard allows for something like 100+ devices to be connected. I wonder how many hubs you could chain together before the 360 says no more.

The Slim has 5, three in the back, two on the front, so I was just wondering if I could slam in 5 USB drives and call it good. I think there used to be a limit of 2 USB drives, but I'm probably mistaken.

I thought it was something like that. I remember reading on their Xbox support site that this was the limit, but I can't find that information there any more, so I assumed it might have changed. Thanks!

On my XBOX 360 there are 2 USB ports that acknowledge drives so, that means that you can use up to 2 USB drives totally 16 GB. Unless they have changed the cap since this feature was introduced.

USB allows for 127 connected devices, but the 360 would not likely support that many of them (depending on what type of device, since there are power limitations).
