My 360 got an E74 error and it's just out of warrently. I want to give it the RROD so I don't have to pay to fix this, I've left it on for days on end. It's gotten so hot the case has even warped slightly, that's freakin hot! Have any ideas on how to intentionally get the RROD?

The Xbox 360 is the second game console produced by Microsoft Corporation and is the successor to the original Xbox.
I want to get the RROD, any ideas how?
Don't wrap it in towels and leave it on. Overheating causes 2 lights to blink red, not 3. Also, the overheat lights only blink while the box is actually overheated, not once it has cooled off. I'm sorry that I don't have any ideas as to HOW to get the rrod, but I just wanted to post this before the barrage of people erroneously saying that you should wrap it up. (No hard feelings those who were about to post that.)
if its just out of warranty there no real point is there?
But one way is to move the 360 when it is on, that might either get you rrod or some other internal damage that would appear accidental.
Use a blank disc, as it will scratch the disc, as well as the lens.
I kind of tried that, but with a twist. I knew it shuts off when it's overheated so I just threw it in my freezer right after it started overheating and then after it froze for a bit plugged it back in and overheated it again. I was hoping the rapid change from hot to cold and back again would be enough to break the soldering but it didn't work.

This is so Funny , I have not laughed like this in a long time , it reminds me of the tricks people use to get insurance money
"Poor water through the vents while its on."Wow that is really brutal
PS Pour NOT Poor :P
"Poor water through the vents while its on."Hmm, I was thinking about that but wondered if they could tell it was water damage. If I let it sit for a while and the water evaporate there should be no evidence. Knowing this tank of a 360 though I could sink it in the bottom of the ocean and it would smile at me and give me the single red light.
i doubt they open every 360 or turn it on maybe, so just tell them its Rrod and then send it in and see what happens. i think whats what id do, be careful doing things that might be too blatantly obious.. i would suck even more to buy a whole new 360!
"Try this."I don't usually like IGN, but this was pretty damn awesome.
I tried for about a month to red ring my xbox, didn't happen.
I'm convinced now that xboxes are indestructible. Your best bet would be to simply lie to costumer support and get them to send you a coffin, they cont check to see if you lied and will simply send you a new/refurbish xbox.

Yeah, you're missing the point you need to get the thing serviced for free, not get the RRoD. So in this case..... Lie.
The irony of this is great: You want to find out how to get the RRoD for warranty purposes, even though you've probably already broken whatever warranty was probably on it. I could be wrong, and I understand your dilema, but going out of your way to beat the system is not the greatest of ideas.
Even with you mentioning the case is "warped" because of your attempting to overheat it, is probably enough grounds to not give any warranty service on the item.
At any rate, good luck with this. When I had an E74 error I also just told them it was RROD (essentially it is, just not the popular one) and they replaced it with no problems.
but going out of your way to beat the system is not the greatest of ideas.
Bit of an understatement.
My first replacement 360 had an E 74 error when I first powered it on. Ended up sending it back 6 months later b/c the disk drive was f-ed up beyond playability
