Hey everyone,

I recently bought $100 worth of MS points and am wondering what XBLA games you would recommend I buy.

You don't need to recommend exactly $100 worth but any opinions on games you can think of would be appreciated :)

I am a fan of all games really, but I do want to use my Xbox Live subscription so any multiplayer games would be cool too.

Thank you.

To answer your post, I don't know what I'd buy with 100 dollars worth of points. I don't use XBLA. >_> Sorry.

1/4 of Game Room.

As of this moment, nothing. I would wait until a game I want to play comes along. I am Alive could be good, perhaps that.

I Made a Game with Zombies in it 100 times.

Ha, is that even still accessible ? I thought they cancelled that whole thing.

And before they got Sunset Riders... the one game I actually would get on there HaHa :P

I am looking into the game, looks like an open world Manhunt game or something, not bad.

Bastion is a awesome choice, Braid is as well if you like a storytelling mario.

Limbo is very artistic, but not for everyone.

Trails HD is fun, but hard as fuck in all other areas. Dark souls ain't even as hard!

Popcap games are good, but get them on the PC if ever possible.

DON'T buy multiplayer only games on live, they die out within a month.

Check out everything the Behemoth has made and check some databases of XBLA games till you come across something that tickles your fancy. A hundred dollars seems like a lot, but try to spend it somewhat sparingly, eh?

They released it on XBLA recently as Joe Danger: Special Edition with some new content added in.

I'd recommend Stacking, Rock of Ages, Zeno Clash, Outland and Flotilla. If you are into really strange things, definitely look into Zeno Clash.

Probably just Rock Band DLC

But you should get all the double fine games.

Some DLC. Other than that, I don't know. If you're asking me what do I recommend you get, I'd say Shadow Complex and Outland if you don't have those yet.

I'm just going to list a bunch(not all) that I own. Tried to focus on ones I didn't see mentioned already.

#25 Posted by pavakah (109 posts) -

Bastion and Limbo, definitely -- they are both games worth playing even if you aren't normally a fan of those respective styles of games. Braid has a narrower appeal, in my opinion. If you like puzzle-y platforming, and aren't put off by the emotional story trappings, then Braid might be for you.

#27 Posted by G0rd0nFr33m4n (762 posts) -

Wow ! Great lists guys, thanks, I'll check all of these out :)

Limbo is not worth the money in my eyes.

Shadow Complex, Renegade Ops, Worms Reloaded, Pirates! (Xbox Original, not sure if it's still available), Joe Danger, Bastion, Puzzle Quest (the original), Iron Brigade, and the Monkey Island remakes. Those would give you a great variety, along with a few great multiplayer games.

Mostly DLC and a couple arcade games.

#37 Posted by SMTDante89 (2582 posts) -

A lot of Rock Band 3 DLC.

#38 Posted by BRich (440 posts) -

1. Braid (someone did not just call this Mario with a story...)

2. Shadow Complex

3. Castle Crashers,

4. Bastion

5. Renegade Ops

6. Limbo

7. Portal (if you've somehow managed to avoid playing it)

I've also been playing a ton of NFL Blitz, I think its great.

Yeah, in retrospect I totally agree.  It's not something you really have fun doing, even though the journey is interesting and you'd have to pay me to play it again.

Ok, 80 points each and get Applejack and OSR Unhinged.  The latter is a lot more fun than Trials HD.
#47 Posted by jozzy (2035 posts) -

Get Pinball FX2 with the marvel table pack with Ironman and Wolverine and the other pack that has Pasha and Rome in it. When you get bored of those get all the other tables :)

I have to agree with this list 100%. I would add the upcoming game I Am Alive to it though, it is looking like it will be an amazing game.

I have only bought two live games - SMB (great game, however, I MUCH MUCH MUCH prefer the platforming in Rayman - its not so difficult that it will sap out your enjoyment) and Bastion (honestly, IMO, not that fun).

I think that if I was you, I would stick to finding games I loved and getting season passes
