Midnight Club LA or Burnout Paradise. I don' t know which one I would want. I really like racing games where I can tune up my cars and get chased by the cops, where as I have rented Burnout and loved it because of the amazing car crashes. Help me decide!

Midnight Club LA or Burnout Paradise
Burnout Paradise,
"how so?"It's very frustrating. It's just too damn hard. They even tried to patch the difficulty but that didn't help me so I gave up on it. The AI is extremely cheap.
I think I went like 2 hours without winning a race at one point and I was like "Done." Shut it off and never bothered with it again. I'm not the greatest at racing games but I beat games like Forza 2, PGR 4, and Burnout. So I'm not a complete noob either.
"mellenman said::D Too hard eh? hehe I loved the challenge! It felt so intense! Burnout Paradise single player was way too easy. I like to be challenged when I'm racing. But, that's why Burnout's Multi-player had to be so strong. For Multi-player I'd choose Burnout, but Midnight Club for single player experience. So, overall, because I love Singleplayer experiences more, I'd go for Midnight Club over Burnout if I really had to choose."how so?"It's very frustrating. It's just too damn hard. "mellenman said:I don't own the game, but I've heard that after you've patched to the easier AI, you have to actually LOSE races before the AI gets easier. If you just keep getting your ass kicked and restart the race over and over without finishing, then the game never realizes you're losing and it never gets any easier."how so?"It's very frustrating. As far the the original question goes, you might want to wait until the end of this month and see how good the reviews are for FUEL. It sounds like the world in that game will be one of the largest ever featured in a video game (5000 square miles) and it might turn out to be really good. Keep your fingers crossed.
I'd say Kush is wrong and comparing the two is fair as they are both open world racing titles with fast cars, nitrous oxide, DLC and extensive multiplayer modes. I was going to write a blog on this over the next few days but this post has prompted me so I will get to that shortly. I'll quickly say that I prefer Midnight Club and own both games.
I bought Midnight Club LA and ended up selling it back. Had I bought Burnout (which i rented) I would likely still own it. Burnout gets my vote.

If my opinion of Burnout was based purely on the demo I'd tell you it was a bad game.
Tune up cars and be chased by the police? Sounds kind of like Need for Speed: Undercover would be the best suited for you.
"SpaceInsomniac said:I played it at a friend's house for about 5 minutes, big deal. I would call that a demo. And yeah, I got the feeling for it and I vastly prefer BP to this one."There is no demo for Midnight Club LA."That's a double whammy... RHCP you better hold your hands up right now lol"
