Xbox 360? Or Xbox?

xbox 360

It's in 360 forums.
Also it's "Quite" not "Quiet".

I think the loudness really depends on what game your playing, how fast the disc is spinning and how fast your fan is spinning.

well i was playing gears of war, it seemed like it was pretty loud, is that normal?

There is some noise associated with the 360, however, if it is louder than what your used to...I would contact Microsoft support and inquire about your concerns.

yep gears is a loud game. It runs really fast on the 360. Sometimes even so fast that it breaks the disk. I wouldn't be too worried, unless this is happening with every game.

Yes its normal. The 360 generally sounds like an aircraft taking off!!!

Also how the temperature of the room. By personal experience(or it's just my 360), the 360 is louder when playing RPGs than any other genre.

I've never heard of 360s getting louder over time.

The 360 is pretty loud to begin with.

I've had an Xbox 360 for about 18 months and it starting yelling antisemitic things at me a few months ago. Tech support won't help me.

I... I just keep it off now.
