There is some noise associated with the 360, however, if it is louder than what your used to...I would contact Microsoft support and inquire about your concerns.

yep gears is a loud game. It runs really fast on the 360. Sometimes even so fast that it breaks the disk. I wouldn't be too worried, unless this is happening with every game.
