Star Ocean 4, FF XIII, among others (that i care less about).
Who else is happy that the 360 is getting some hopefully fantastic rpgs?

#2 Posted by BobTheSlayer (33 posts) -

Star Ocean 4 isnt multiplatform, and even the multiplatform games are pretty cool. Hopefully better than Blue Dragon.

Just for the record. H4xlike you fail at all aspects of life.

PS2 had about 3000 FF clones and I didn't hear Sony Fanboys complaining about them then, still a bit sore from the FF13 multiplatform announcement?

The 360s getting some good JRPGs... I'm definitely looking forward to SO4.

#6 Posted by BobTheSlayer (33 posts) -

SO3 was one of my favorite games of all time. You have no idea how many times i watched the SO4 trailer. <.<

Mass Effect is the best RPG I've ever played. Might be one of the best games period I've played on the 360. I'll be waiting with baited breath that Mass Effect 2 comes out sometime in the next 18 months. With EA buying BioWare, I wouldn't be shocked to hear that PS3 fans will get their taste next go 'round.

Mass effect

I am really happy.  I was getting tired of just Eternal Sonata, Blue Dragon, and Lost Odyssey.

#10 Posted by BobTheSlayer (33 posts) -

I forgot about Mass Effect. That game was only good for a while, only for the amazing dialogue, and the combat was pretty lacking. I had fun with it and I will play the sequel, and while its not one of the best western RPGs ive played, it was good.

The rest of the year is going to be crazy when it comes to RPGs.  Too Human, Tales of Vesperia, and Infinite Undiscovery all come in a 3 week span.  Then theres Fable 2 in October, Last Remnant in November, and Fallout 3 sometime this year.  I definitely  won't have enough money for all :(

#12 Posted by BobTheSlayer (33 posts) -

Good thing that out of Too Human, Tales of Vesperia, and Infinite Undiscovery I only really want Tales. Infinite Undiscovery looks interesting, but the Tales series has a good history.

#13 Posted by BlindEffekt (920 posts) -

Fallout 3 is the only appealing one to me.
But ill get it on PC.

#14 Posted by Bossman4595 (77 posts) -

I cannot wait until Tales of Vesperia

#15 Posted by Atlas (2558 posts) -

RPG's are really becoming a key feature of the 360, and I love it. Fable 2, Fallout 3, Tales of Vesperia and Infinite Undiscovery all look totally awesome.

Fable 2

#17 Posted by NotaStalker (175 posts) -

Fallout 3
Final Fantasy 13

That's all the rpg you need. the rest is Ass by no other name

I am really excited about all the RPGs coming out for this platform, but I'm especially excited about all the JRPGs. I love those games.

Surprisingly, the 360 has become the only console so far with decent RPG support. While there are not tons of games, we do have Eternal Sonata, Blue Dragon, Mass Effect, Lost Odyssey, and Oblivion (yes, I know about lesser titles like Enchanted Arms). But there is a lot to look forward to, and as a lifetime JRPG addict, I'm very excited about what Square Enix is bringing to the table. Not to mention titles like Fable 2 and Fallout 3.

We may see a boost in RPGs for the PS3, but right now Microsoft is the only home for North American JRPG fans.

I am really enjoying Eternal Sonata, but i just can not get into Lost Odyssey.

360 = Home console RPG king.

I am not the biggest fan of fantasy RPGs, but Mass Effect rocked my boat!

Agreed, who would have thought it.

Can't wait for Fallout 3 and the next Mass Effect.

Fable 2 is going to own my soul for a good, long while.

I could careless, JRPGs are boring and feature wuss bag metro sexuals

#27 Posted by Guild_Master (265 posts) -

FF XIII, Fallout 3, Mass Effect, Star Ocean
It's good to see some RPG's heading towards the 360

#28 Posted by LightYagami245 (1161 posts) -

I know I am happy about this!

#29 Posted by Bennyishere (1746 posts) -

Not much of a JRPG fan, but I loved Oblivion and Mass Effect and will be getting Fallout 3 and Mass Effect 2 when it eventually comes out.

#30 Posted by Philanthropy (142 posts) -

Fable 2 and Dragon Age

#31 Posted by Pygmahia (25 posts) -

oblivion hands down.

#32 Posted by Kevin (399 posts) -

When I read this, I thought OP was gonna talk about rocket propelled grenade launchers.

But anyways, I loved Mass Effect and I'm looking forward to Fallout 3, but I'm not a Final Fantasy type of guy.

Star Ocean 4 is looking good, I also want The Last Reminant and FFXIII

#34 Posted by BobTheSlayer (33 posts) -

I love all the jrpg haters. Its hilarious.

Anyway, Im totally getting Fallout 3 for the PC. Its a Bethesda game, therefore it will be better on PC. Sorry, Bethesda, you're still kind of a one trick pony.

I'm looking forward to all the upcoming RPGs for the 360. I'll be getting Fallout 3 and FF13 for sure. Tales looks really good, but Tales of Symphonia didn't hold my attention long enough for me to finish. I still don't know what to make of Infinite Undiscovery and Star Ocean, but I'll be keeping an eye on them. That brings me to Too Human, I tried the demo and wasn't impressed at all. I can't see it not getting borring after a couple hours, with or without a friend to join in the boredom.

Regardless of how they turn out, it's really nice to see Microsoft actively getting RPGs on their console this generation.

I just hope xbox 360 will get some traditional 2d rpgs, but I doubt it...

The one RPG i'll be getting isn't even a Japanese title, its Fallout 3.

#39 Posted by stealingstuffandlauren (10 posts) -

i hope it gets ff versus 13 because thats the one i care about, also, more shin megami tensei

#40 Posted by BobTheSlayer (33 posts) -

Im with foxdemon on the 2d RPG wish. It'll never happen, but how kickass would chrono trigger on XBLA or PSN be?

If only. If only...

I think Infinite Undiscovery or The Last Remnant is.
#43 Posted by OblivionGuy07 (175 posts) -

I am excited for these RPG's because I love them. The 360 has some decent ones right now, but it could use more. I've always been meaning to try out Lost Odyssey

#44 Posted by Elron (31 posts) -

I am a FINAL FANTASY fan for a loooong time. I am sad that it is now multiplatform for 1 reason: Square is not up to the task. They will mess things up with 2 versions of the game. Better exclusive to 1 console than multyplatform i think.

#45 Posted by BobTheSlayer (33 posts) -

I heard Lost Odyssey was a letdown from some people, others said it was great. I dont really want to try it out either...
Fans of a genre will never agree.

#46 Posted by ElectricHaggis (626 posts) -

Fable 2 and Fallout 3 are the RPG's I'm looking forward to this year.  Unless one of thos JRPG's is exceptional, I doubt I'll play them.

#47 Posted by epic_pets (1345 posts) -

I am, not much of a rpg gamer....but rpg will make more people buy 360's

#48 Posted by Wolverine (4575 posts) -

Yeah I am pretty excited to play some good RPGs on 360.

#49 Posted by atejas (3151 posts) -

Fable 2,

#50 Posted by TheKreep (75 posts) -

Fallout 3's probably at the top of my RPG want list.
What do we all think of Too Human?

I enjoyed the demo, personally. I'll probably pick it up.
