VGA error on Xbox originals.

So I just downloaded Phyconauts because its great and I wanted it on my xbox. But the problem is that I run my xbox through a monitor so I use a VGA cable. When I try to start the game it comes up with an error message which says that VGA doesnt support pal 50 which is required for this game. 
 
Now fair enough, I understand that old things wont always work but jesus christ why doesnt microsoft put a disclaimer about this on the games discription?! Ive just wasted 1200 points on something I cant play!  
 
Just called their help line to see if they could do anything about it and they say that they cant because they have a general warning somewhere on xblm.  
 
What total bullshit. 
 
So watch out guys, if you run your xbox through a monitor steer clear of xbox originals. 
 
unless theres an easy fix i am missing?

No, I think you are screwed. I got stung by the very same issue with original Halo (which I foolishly bought some time before Halo Anniversary was released).

I also bought the Psychonauts and couldn't run the game on my XB360 with a HDD no matter what video type I used...that sucked. Now I just own in on Steam instead. :-)
