Yeah, I can hear mine all the way across the house, and I live in a pretty big house.

Can everyone shut the hell up about "AND U DIDNT BLOG THIS CUZ?"
Well, for one, hardly anyone reads blogs, and if they do, they only read Jeff's or someone of similar importance/popularity. Therefore posting anything in your worthless blog results in 0 views and 0 comments. Who says a thread has to be completely impersonal to be thread-worthy?
Anyway, back on topic: Yes I am annoyed with the 360's jet engine sound, but loudness is not something I would buy or sell a console for
in multi platform games i get the version has the best controls or some thing exclusive. In the case of final fantasy i would probably get it on the ps3 because the laod times will be quicker.if i have a bigger hard drive by the time the update comes out for 360 then i might consider changing my mind.

Mine isn't that noisy. My first console failed, but this I haven't had too many problems with. It freezes up occasionally, but that's it.
It is a loud console. I heard that they may have an option to rip the game to the hard drive in the future. That would eliminate the noise.
Mines still fairly new so no problems yet but yeah if you have had that many that I can understand you annoyance. MS has unfortunately moved really slow with shinking the chips and getting that new stuff out there but at least they extended the warranty.
One thing I do hope comes of this is on thier next system they do not use anything higher than 65nm chips and use better quality optical drives. Oh and use PC HDD's,...there so much cheaper per GB than the ones MS makes.
I know this kid and he's a bit of a PS3 fanboy yet he comes over to play multiple games on my 360 since he can't on his PS3, and every time we play all i hear from him is; "OH MAN THE JET ENGINES TAKING OFF" it gets pretty annoying, however the noise doesn't bother me anymore.
Yes my system does play loud, but I rarely notice it. Unless im playing the orange box. That games runs LOUD.
Meh, Saint's Row 2 and Fable 2 will be the next games I get for 360 so I don't think anything is wrong with 360, gears 2 in a couple months. And noise issue with 360? Haven't you got used to it. Of course when you first turn it on when you first buy it you will think it's extreme. Then you get used to it.
