know it sounds like an april fools joke, gotta believe it myself to. looks nice if it's real though.
It's a nice design.. If real. And pretty much exactly what MS need. The slim PS3 did wonders for Sony, so launching this late this year along with Natal for a decent price could really boost their sales. But it looks like many were right when they suspected that this nano 360 doesn't seem to be support HDD's.
I'm guessing it'll have some inbuilt memory but mostly, or perhaps entirely rely on the new flash memory coming in April. 32gb is still quite a bit more than what the 360 originally had.
" I guess I'll say it again. THAT'S A PICTURE OF THE GODDAMN HD-DVD DRIVE!!!!!!! "Dont have to go in an roid rage dude, relax.
" @Elazul said:Yeah I know, I'm kidding. I usually get kind of pissed of at people taking poorly researched rumors as fact, but I understand that the site probably just put their April Fool's story up a day early." Why are you so sure?" Definately the HD-DVD drive. There won't be a slim 360. "

First! X360-Slim spotted!
It was rumored some time round, the Webz was full of them: Xbox would come with a clever variant of the 360. Nobody could confirm this, and Microsoft was silent as the grave. We have already talked about it and did not really know what we really to think. Skate and JJ, "we have no such need because we do not necessarily want a quiet Xbox, we are accustomed to the soothing hum in the room".
We have our network of knowledgeable insider had the first shots! So here for you 'fresh out of the box the pictures of the Xbox 360 (codename Napoleon), to you a glimpse of this beautiful show.
That's way too small to be a 360. The motherboard that has been leaked is not drastically smaller than the typical 360 board.
" @Colin said:" Some reason that reminds me of the HD-DVD drive lol. "Yeah, I'm pretty sure that it IS the HD-DVD drive. "
Although I think these photos are obviously the HD-DVD drive, I actually would really not mind another smaller form factor, simply for the chance of re-iterating the system for better quality/durability reasons, and possibly not needing to make the system sound like a jet engine while still being able to run at temperatures that won't fry the system.
This is all assumedly good as long as it still carries support for feasibly sized hard drives and whatever other functions too.
Do you all remember when the PS3 Slim was revealed, the very first images of it were sketchy-ass pics straight out of the factory in China or wherever they're made. People were wondering if it was real back then too... these pics kind of remind me of that. Also, doesn't that look a little big for a HD DVD player?
You know how I can tell that both of those are fake? Well, the first one probably IS the HD-DVD Drive. The second one looks ugly and fake as heck anyway. But dude, neither of them are big enough to hold the 360's external hard drive. Sure, they're going to allow you to use other means of memory, but I don't suspect that they're going to make the original hard drive incompatible with the new 360. I think that would be a pretty bogus move.
The rebranding, new marketing philosophy and lower price are what changed fortunes for the PS3.
A redesign for the XBOX 360 would be favourable, but this isn't it.
"I'd like to believe this. "As would I. This, however, seems extremely fake.
Especially the pics from the front view. I gotta also think that Microsoft loved its visual design for the 360 so much that it wouldn't make something so ugly.
" isn't it a little early for April fools jokes? "What you never opened a gift on Xmas eve? lol
