Wanted to pick up L4D2 again but at $5 price point.

Oh well. Gotta wait for Payday 2 next month to fulfill my co-op, bank robbing, cop killing needs.

It is amazing for a B grade RPG. I am not far in and its quite intresting.

Sales? You mean what the games should be? I mean... Perfect Dark Zero, a lunch title, regularly $15... $15 for a launch title!

Question for The Witcher 2 crowd - are the controls wonky enough to be distracting? Bad controls really get to me (especially in melee games) and that is one of the detracting points I'd heard about it.

@oginor: Its not so much the controls as animation priority. Controls are fine on the xbox controller

$10 is a ridiculous price for the The Witcher 2.

@dallas_raines: I do love me some ridiculous prices! That, coupled with the fact that I think this is the last of the daily sale titles that interests me, seals the deal.

Also, can I say that between this sale and the Sony PSN sale, it finally looks like devs and console makers are taking the hint from Steam that there are ways to make digital distribution a preferable option to physical ( and in particular, used) without being quite so heavy-handed. Here's to more carrots (and Christmas sales to keep pace with Steam...in perpetuity) in the future!

Sooo... anyone else experiencing extremely slow download speeds for the games they've purchased through this sale? I understand there are probably a lot of people downloading through Live right now, but this is painful. Forza is only at 10% and it's easily been two hours now.

@wallzii: I bought The Witcher 2 this morning and was playing in a little over an hour. Maybe it's just right now?

After a bit of trouble-shooting on my end and reseting my network, my connection to Live is working at full speed again. A bit strange as I've never encountered massive bandwidth issues with Live even when Steam would be updating on my PC, but it's all sorted now and running great.

@617_jbug: What a bummer of a last day. I was hoping to pick up XCOM, Gears, and Rising, but not at those prices.

Oh well, in the end I got PDZ, Crysis, Bulletstorm, Brothers in Arms, and The Witcher 2 for a total of $28 which is pretty sweet.

Meh, at least they tried this year. The best deal to me was getting Borderlands 2 for just $10. Was really hoping they were gonna keep that kind of momentum with the rest of the prices.

Bioshock infinite - "only" AU$69.99. I'm pretty sure I bought it cheaper new.

I'm torn between getting either Metal Gear Rising or Hitman Absolution.

Is Hitman worth $9? I've haven't any of the other games, but all I've seen it looks like a good jumping in point, and I enjoyed games like Deus Ex Human Revolution and Dishonored.

I like a lot about Metal Gear Rising, but it looks like a hard game to learn the controls and how to play effectively as I tried the demo and didn't get very far because I didn't master the parry.

Any ideas?

I really like Hitman and would definitely say it's worth $10, if you're a hardcore Hitman fan you might not like it but if you just want a well made stealth action game you should pick it up.

Buy The Witcher 2. It's a miracle that game can even run on 360 hardware.

What do you know, all it took for me to purchase games on demand was a good old-fashioned sale! A proper one at that, even if it's not quite Steam-level madness. I went from no GoD titles owned to having Tomb Raider, Witcher 2, Left 4 Dead 2 and X-Com. Spent a bunch of money and feel like I made out like a bandit!

I think the sale they did a couple of months ago was better overall. They had so many games on sale

Grabbed Brothers In Arms and Divinity II. May grab WWE '13 as well.

This sale is really promising and I hope that it is a success for Microsoft so that they can keep doing these with the next Xbox as well. Sadly I own most of the games that have popped up already either on the 360 or PC.
