I got an Xbox 360, I love it. Paying for online is okay and the games lineup is pretty incredible...

but Im now thinking of getting a second console and Im on the fence between the Wii and the PS3 ...
(crazy waggle controls or Blu-ray player) ...

what would you get ? what did you get if you already have 2 consoles at home.

I have both a 360 and PS3. Bought the 360 at launch and the PS3 a few months ago.

I have all 3. the PS3 is my main console though.

the Wii has very different games than either two, but that doesn't mean you'll want to play them.

I like the PS3 exclusive games a lot, but I can't say owning both is right for you.

Go with the Wii.

If you only have a 360, and are choosing between getting a PS3 or Wii, well the answer is pretty clear tbh. I would purchase the PS3 over a Wii any day, and I don't know many who wouldn't do the same.

Then later down the line you may be able to pick up a Wii for two or three good games, since its cheap, but first the PS3 for sure.

wii and ps3 have nothing really all that great imo

Wii. PS3 and 360 are too similar and too expensive to warrant having both unless you are super rich or super dumb.

Unless you intend on getting blu ray movies, in which case PS3 might be a better option, but purely for gaming purposes, it has to be the wii.

I have a wii along with the 360.

I went for the Wii because it's something different and more fun for the whole family.

I have a PS3 and wii. There are some good wii games but there isnt anything very interesting on the harizon. I think that this year will be pretty quiet for the wii but the ps3 on the other hand has some great exclusives on the harizon but im not sure if the price would justify for the price if you already have a 360. Yer its a tough call to make.
it all depends on how much you are willing to spend.

I wouldn't recommend either. I had a 360 and bought a Wii, which thankfully I got rid of. I also got a PS3, which was a huge waste of $500. You'll regret it when you realize your 360 is the way to go.

I say PS3. I own a 360 and a PS3 and they both sort of have their differences and specialised games.
The PS3 is best for a movie like feel because a lot of it's games have great graphics, music and voice acting but aren't too original like Ratchet and Clank, Heavenly Sword, Metal Gear Solid 4 and Uncharted. It's also great for crazy original games like PixelJunk titles and LittleBigPlanet. The 360 on the other hand is sort of a more bang for your buck kind of console. You'll get a bunch of games that'll last you a long time like Mass Effect and Lost Odyssey while also being great for consistent online play for serious online games (I find that the PS3 is better for less serious online shooters like Warhawk and Fat Princess) and then giving you some nice old school Arcade titles like Alien Hominid, Assault Heroes and Geometry Wars.

The Wii on the other hand isn't really going anywhere. It kind of took off too fast at the beginning of the race and threw out all of it's great games while skipping third party support and now they're left hinging on third party support which wasn't ever really good to begin with. Now the Wii kind of has us hoping. I suggest that you wait until TGS though.

Really don't buy the Wii. I own all three consoles, and the Wii doesn't even come close to the other two, in my opinion. Definitely the PS3, I originally only had a 360, then bought a PS3 a few months ago, and haven't touched my 360 in ages. People will say they are too similar, but they both offer two different gaming experiences, and both have a great line up of exclusives.

Depends on what you are after, I mean the PS3 and 360 offer similar things, Live is better than PSN - but the PS3 is also the best value-for-money Bluray player you can get.

The Wii is entirely different, all I can say is that the three people I know who have one have about 5 games between them. One just has Wii Sports. That says something. Then again if you can get past the sub-standard graphics and enjoy party games and have people over regularly then maybe you should go for it. You'd also be saving some money.

Really you have 3 options,
-Wii
-PS3
-Neither

I'd go for neither. The PS3 doesn't offer much more from a gaming perspective, you're going to get almost all the big releases on both consoles. The Wii is last-gen hardware with waggle.

I own all 3 this gen just like last gen.

but still, if you want the most unique game library, i would go for 360/wii because a lot of games on the 360 are on the ps3.

Ps3 is the sure thing here because of some of their (few) exclusive titles and the bluray playing. It's a huge feature to have and it looks great.

• Little Big Planet... the only one I might think about.
• Socom, never cared much for it. But that's entirely my opinion, lots of people love Socom... I love less realistic shooters. If you want realism join the Army.
• And finally Resistance, the worst looking game I saw at E3. Guess what, the entire event was so incredibly scripted, and the graphics were not impressive at all. The enemy design was amazing, sure, but I am not moved at all. Trust me, I love Insomniac (e.g. Ratchet & Clank), but they should stick to awesome platforming.

I have a 360 and a Wii, but I would trade the Wii for a PS3 anyday.  The PS3 is a great Blu-ray player, I like the XMB and the features with it, Life with Playstation looks interesting, Home, some great exclusives that are getting me hyped.  Like SOCOM, Resistance 2, LBP, and I wanna play MGS4.

PS3 for me I sold my Wii last month to a friend of min because the Wii press conference @ E3 was so very very weak.
