I'm on my second Xbox, it has been going strong for over a year. The first one died (NHL2K7) within 5-6 months.

My Premium broke because of the disc tray and I have had since launch. That happened last summer and it was only gone for 2 weeks. My Elite hasn't broke yet and I've had it for about 7 months. *Knocks on Wood*

I am currently on my 3rd Xbox 360. One was a launch one, got it day before Christmas. Died that day. Merry Christmas. Second one wouldn't load after a couple months. So they sent me number 3 which has worked for now. This is a ridiculous trend. They don't deserve our millions of dollars for this.

Had the same problem with original xboxes too. Went through 3 of them as well.

Mine died only once, last October. Although I heard a lot of horror stories of long repairs and breaking right when you turn it on, I got it back the next week and haven't had any problems so far.

I sold the whole thing and am now the happiest PS3 owner in canada.... or close.

Once my elite was only half-dead my DVD drive went out. Replacement seems to be doing well so far.

Got my 1st 360 the day it launched and it lasted up until last summer when it was struck down with the "red rings of death". Sent it in and got a brand new one about a month later; I haven't had any problems with it thus far.

Once. But I bought a Elite afterwards and sold my old premium to some lucky slob that took it back to Best Buy at my suggestion, (replacement warranty) to swap it out for a new one and wound up getting not only a new 360, but 100 bucks back because of the 20 gig price drop.

Mine RROD'd twice, and I got reps from Microsoft for free both times. Then on my third one the disc drive failed, and destroyed my disc 4 of Lost Odyessy. i called MS and they wanted $100 to fix it, saying only the 3 red lights were covered after the first year. And they said they couldnt help me about my game disc.
Bought a PS3 the next week.

my lauch 360 has been replaced 2 times, so im on my third. And my second 360 that i bought about a year ago has been replaced once. so that makes it 3 times. and i still love my 360's to death

It didn't die per say, it more on the lines... fell...from an elevated position, causing it to hit my brick fireplace...at least it was still on warranty. Other than that I'm on my second.
